The current Superintendent's Contract is posted on the GISD website. Assuming a contract is negotiated with Dr. Gibson, that contract will be posted as well.

Mark, you write well but you need to study your history. Like the bicameral legislature, the Electoral College was put in place so that all states would not have to bow to the whim of Virginia and/or New York - the population centers at the time. "Sacking " the Electoral College now would…

This simplistic line of thought is short-sighted. We might as well disband state governments as well. Currently, Democrats edge the popular vote because they win California, New York, Illinois and Massechussets by 5 million votes, and the Republicans win everywhere else by 3 million votes…

In Galveston, we went from 60 positive cases on June 1 to 1777 cases on August 1, averaging over 28 new cases per day. As of yesterday (Sept. 23), our total was 2,238. Between August 1 and September 23, we have averaged 8 new cases per day - a clear decline. Let's hope it stays that way!

Very good summary. As President of the Board of Trustees, I'm very sorry we are losing Dr. Hay after 9 years of service - but I certainly understand the reasons for his resignation. He has been serving children all his life - as a pediatrician, as a soccer coach, and in many other ways. H…

Very good article, but one minor clarification. Texas International Terminals will pay 2/3 of the local match funds on this project.
