Very unfortunate situation. Butler's Courtyard in League City as well as other venues in the area is working with brides and grooms that were impacted by this to try to help them have the wedding they planned for.
This is great news for all of us interested in the history of our county. I applaud the Commissioners and Judge Henry for hanging in there and providing the funding this required.
Big loss for our Chamber. Steve turned the organization into a formidable force in the area for business.

Westin Insurance Company out of Florida.
For the first time in years I was able to get both my home and business insured for windstorm by a private insuror. Hopefully this carrier will continue to write this coverage and help solve the problem. The premiums were less than the TWIA coverage we had before.
This should produce substantial tax revenue for the city and take some of the burden off of homeowners.
Once again League City was fighting “corporate welfare” as the conservatives call it and missed a huge opportunity for $2.5M annual sales tax and God only knows how much commercial property tax.
