Clear Creek used a three-headed scoring attack that was led by Nick Shipley‘s game-high 19 points, and the Wildcats outscored the Oilers 23-17 in the fourth quarter in a home win.
Rashadre Wilson had 15 points for the Wildcats, and Xavier Ferrell chipped in with 12 points.
Clear Creek will participate in the Carlisle-Krueger Classic this Thursday through Saturday at Clear Falls High School and Bayside Intermediate.
The Wildcats will take on Pasadena Memorial in round one of the tournament on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Bayside Intermediate.
Clear Falls 48, Fort Bend Ridge Point 47 (OT)
Clear Falls saw a double-digit halftime lead erased by a rallying Ridge Point team, but the Knights were able to edge the Panthers in overtime for the win.
The Knights got off to a fast start, leading 15-2 after the first quarter and 26-16 at halftime.
Ridge Point was able to cut that lead to just two points by the end of the third quarter and then forced overtime.
Ricardo Curet led Clear Falls with 17 points, while Blake Werdlow chipped in 13 points.
The Knights will have home court advantage in their next series of contests as they will be participating in and hosting the Carlisle-Krueger Classic tournament, which will be held Thursday through Saturday.
Channelview 52, Friendswood 51
In a close game, Friendswood grabbed an eight-point halftime lead, but the Falcons outscored the Mustangs 21-14 in the third, in what proved to be the difference in the game.
Chance Ayers led Friendswood with a game-high 16 points, and Daniel Martinez added 10 points.
Friendswood will next be in action when they participate in the Pearland Tournament this Friday through Saturday.
