The halftime show honored the Tribal Belles of the past including former director Patti Wulf Hansaard who in turn honored her mentor Hitchcock Swingerette director Linda Kearns who unfortunately could not be there. A nice tie in since the Hitchcock Swingerettes derived their name from the Texas City Stingerettes.

Note to Santa Fe stadium's new announcer: The opposing team was the Texas City Stingarees, not Stingrays.[whistling]

Correction: The Texas City dance team is called Stingarettes.
