The Texas City Stings (6-0, 3-0 in District 12-5A-II) up a signature win with a dominant defensive showing in their 14-2 triumph over state-ranked Nederland last week, and now they have another huge test ahead of them this week against a perennial power in the Crosby Cougars (4-2, 3-0).

After close defeats to start the season against two-time reigning Class 4A state champion Carthage and perennial Class 5A power Manvel, Crosby has won four straight games, including a 67-13 shellacking of an over-matched Kingwood Park team last week.
