The Clear Falls Knights are still searching for their first win in district play (second of the season).

They’ll have a tough challenge ahead of them today at Veterans Memorial Stadium when they face the Dickinson Gators (5-2 overall, 3-2 in district).

Clear Falls enters at 1-6 and 0-5 in district play.

Last week, the Knights fell to the — previously winless in district — Alvin Yellowjackets, who are now 1-4 in district play in a 27-24 contest.

The Knights’ only other win this season was against Pasadena Sam Rayburn from September.

Dickinson crushed Clear Creek last week, winning 42-7.

DHS quarterback Montel Parker went 5-of-8 for 76 yards passing with a touchdown while rushing for 76 yards.

Ball High vs.

Fort Bend Elkins, 6 p.m.

The Ball High Tors will look to move closer to sealing a playoff berth against a team looking to keep their playoff hopes alive in the Fort Bend Elkins Knights today at Hall Stadium.

The Tors will look to build off the momentum of a 48-7 win over Galena Park, while Elkins tries to shake off a 53-6 trouncing at the hands of Fort Bend Marshall last week.

An athletic defense will be a strength for Ball High, and talented running back Clarence Dalton will be the offense’s top weapon. Quarterback Luke Leblanc and running back Derwin Cooks Jr. head up a balanced Knights offense.
