What was supposed to be excellent conditions for fishing and boating Tuesday was negated by a gusting east wind that limited activity on the water.
Protected areas along the south shoreline of Galveston Island and Bolivar Peninsula offered some relief. When the east wind blows, however, its reputation in the phrase “wind from east, fishing is least” comes to mind.
