Houston Texans vs. Minnesota Vikings

Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien talks with quarterback Deshaun Watson during the fourth quarter against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at NRG Stadium.

Galveston County Daily News sports editor James LaCombe and Houston Texans fans got their prayers answered. On Monday, Texans owner Cal McNair and the McNair family finally decided to fire head coach and general manager Bill O’Brien.

It comes on the heels of a putrid 0-4 start. While Houston did face Kansas City and Baltimore to start the season, the team faced Pittsburgh and Minnesota in Week 3 and Week 4, which were both winnable games, especially a Vikings team who entered Sunday’s game 0-3.
