Kenith Pope

Houston Cougars running backs coach Kenith Pope, center, was a three-year letter winner as a defensive back with the Oklahoma Sooners from 1971-73. He was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the ninth round of the 1974 NFL draft.

Kenith Pope has had a hand in numerous victories for the Oklahoma Sooners.

As a player, Pope, now a running backs coach with the Houston Cougars, was a three-year letter winner as a defensive back at OU from 1971-73. During those three seasons, the Sooners amassed a 32-2-1 record and finished each year ranked either No. 2 or 3 in the country.
