Professional golf in 2022 is already different in a couple of ways.

Immediately observable to those who last weekend viewed TV coverage of the Sentry Tournament of Champions played in Hawaii surely noticed the presence of a player who greatly resembled Bryson DeChambeau. He walked and talked like the Mad Scientist; he hunkered over putts in a manner strikingly like the former SMU star; he swung so hard that the beautiful Maui surf at times seemed to be pushed back out towards the playful whales.
