If last Sunday’s NFL conference championships had been determined by which quarterback was the best golfer, the guys wearing silver helmets with blue stars would be headed to the Super Bowl. But wait, Tony Romo is rasping in the announcer’s booth and the “Boys from Dallas” are as much a memory to this strange football season as are our own, coachless Houston Texans.

Romo, for the uninformed (and maybe uninterested), is one of the best golfers to ever have played in the NFL. While not a threat to any card-carrying member of the PGA Tour, the former Cowboy has had a modicum of success in his attempts to play professional golf (he certainly doesn’t need to earn a living at it).
