All proceeds benefit The Salvation Army of Galveston County, and one need not be present to participate. Now that I have your attention, welcome to the announcement of the 11th Annual Michael D. Riley Memorial Golf Tournament. It’s coming up fast, with a curious date of Oct. 19-22. Curious because this is the first time in tournament history that it will be contested over four days.
The course: Moody Gardens Golf Course — nothing new there. The teams: Pick your own, as usual. The tee times: Aha! No shotgun start; instead, you and your group can select your own tee time in a window from 1 to 2:30 p.m. (10 minutes spacing) on your choice of days — first come, first served.
