When the ticket lobby opened at 10 a.m. on Oct. 16, I was ready to use my “unique access code,” which allowed me to make one (underlined) purchase to attend the Ryder Cup competition next September up in Wisconsin.

I read all the FAQ information; at the appointed time, I punched in ZVL3VLFH. I was not prepared to see on my screen a little stick-like action figure inside the first in a series of about 20 phone booth looking rectangles (Some of you will remember phone booths: They are the reason we have quarters).
