It would be foolish to believe the firing of Houston Texans head coach/general manager Bill O’Brien earlier this week would be a complete cure-all for the team’s woeful start to the 2020 season. But Sunday’s 30-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars at NRG Stadium proved moving on from O'Brien was the right call.

By winning with relative ease against the lowly Jaguars, the Texans showed they actually have a competent, if not pretty good, football team this season, which was not the case under O’Brien, who had reportedly lost the confidence of his players.
