Whenever people use the phrase “no pun intended,” everyone knows good and well they intended the pun. So, I’ll own up to the following corny pun, just like the Houston Astros had to own up to their sins of the 2017 season this week.

Major League Baseball is lucky the Astros stole (pun intended) all that sport’s headlines, beginning with Wednesday’s much criticized apology press conference (but let’s be real, if Astros owner Jim Crane had plunged a knife into both Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman and sacrificed them to the baseball gods, it would not have been enough an apology for some people) and continuing with Carlos Correa’s candid comments regarding the sign stealing investigation and the backlash the Astros received.
