Houston Texans vs. Buffalo Bills

A Houston Texans fan holds a sign in reference to “The Comeback” game between the Houston Oilers and Buffalo Bills in 1993 during the first quarter of a Wild Card Playoff between the Houston Texans and the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 4 at NRG Stadium.

With the sports world on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, I’ve still been having plenty of conversations with local coaches. The tone has ranged from optimistic to depressed and everything in between, but with no sports of any kind happening, one coach’s three-word phrase summed up life without sports perfectly.

“Bored to tears.”
