For the second straight week, quarterback P.J. Walker and receiver Cam Phillips connected for three touchdowns, and Walker rushed for another score, as the Houston Roughnecks improved to 3-0 with a 34-27 win over the Tampa Bay Vipers on Saturday afternoon at Raymond James Stadium.

While much has been made of the Roughnecks’ exciting run-and-shoot offense, it was two clutch defensive stops late that clinched the win.
