Galveston County Judge Mark Henry didn’t mince words with state lawmakers in his assessment of how last week’s power outages and freeze crisis affected Galveston County.

Henry submitted public comment to legislative committees preparing for the first hearings about the failures of state government and others during last week’s extreme cold. Henry accused the state of failing to prepare for the winter storm, and he accused the Electric Reliability Council of Texas and electric transmission companies of lying about rolling blackouts.

Kudos to Weber for doing the most important thing a representative can do - showing up and being there.

Wow, how refreshing to hear a Republican representative give "props" to a member of the Democratic party. His comment about disagreeing with her policies, but appreciating her help while not calling her derogatory names, is how all politicians should act.
