Regarding the editorial “Galveston’s trap and neuter program a good solution,” The Daily News, May 19, 2023) by Michael A. Smith: If there was a trap, neuter and release award for good neighbors, I would nominate Suzanne Peloquin.

Not only does she participate in the program regularly, but she daily tends to a colony of feral cats. She makes her rounds very early and when a new cat shows up, she traps it and takes it to the shelter for neutering.

If there is no feral cat problems, Peloquin wouldn’t be doing what she’s doing.

Ms Anderson, I second your nomination of Ms Peloquin. She already has so many stars in her crown for her compassion, she will need attendants to help keep her upright in Heaven. She is an inspiration to cat lovers far and wide.
