I’d always believed government was something far removed from me, but that changed when I got to know Craig Brown. When I had problems concerning our city, I turned to him as my councilman.

He always listened and, more importantly, he took action whenever it was in his power to do so.

I soon realized countless others in his district and in our city benefited from the same attention he’d given me.

I’ve never met anyone else who works so tirelessly as Brown does for the betterment of Galveston. He’s gained his knowledge of how our city operates from years of working with different organizations and city council while maintaining an open mind and imagination to see a future for Galveston that’s even better.

I hope my fellow residents also believe they too can make a positive difference to our local governing bodies. I hope they’ll learn about the candidates, their policies, and what they’ve already done to better Galveston. I hope they’ll vote because in a mayoral campaign every single vote counts. Most of all, I hope they’ll see Craig Brown is the kind of man who leads with care and diligence.

I agree, Rosa. Craig has certainly got my vote. Over his tenure he has consistently been appreciated for his responsiveness to constituents. That’s really what citizens want most from council members. So often, they want help to get elected but then can’t be bothered to return communications from their constituents. Being available, listening, and communicating are what have made Craig an exceptional council member and will make him a great mayor.

I agree! Dr. Brown is the best choice for Mayor. Experience and responsiveness!

Craig Brown has always responded to my questions and concerns in a prompt, courteous and businesslike manner. His monthly newsletter is informative and professional. I will miss Craig as our representative. He has large shoes to fill and hope he is elected as Mayor.

Craig Brown has been a blessing to our community. I’ve discussed issues with him many times over his 6 years of public service and he has always responded in a respectful and caring manner even if disagreeing.

Craig has never been my district council representative but he addresses concerns of every resident and not just those in his district who will vote for him. He sees Galveston as a whole while respecting each neighborhood and district’s unique qualities.

I’m glad Craig is running for mayor so I can finally cast my ballot for a dedicated leader and advocate for all residents and businesses.
