Except that the Republicans back then had courage and integrity. And Nixon didn’t have a right wing propaganda network like Fox...

Carlos Ponce

No integrity and courage in the Democrat leadership today. Soviet Union politician Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria said, "Show me the man and I'll show you the crime." And that's EXACTLY what the Democrats are doing in their continuing effort to undermine the election of Trump. Alan Schiff created a false narrative of Trump's phone call with the Ukraine leadership. He called it a "parody". It was no parody. It was a LIE. And Nancy Pelosi said those were the president's words. Even George Stephanopoulos said they were not.

Pelosi: But it's using the president's own words.

Stephanopoulos: Well, those weren't the president's words. It was an interpretation of the president's words. They're saying he made this up.

Pelosi: He did not make it up.

[Narrative truncated to shorten post.]

All it takes is looking up the phone transcript and then hearing what Schiff said to know he made it up and those were NOT the President's words. Only the gullible would believe they were.

Emile Pope

The president is a crook...

Emile Pope

Now you’re quoting Russian...

Carlos Ponce

Lavrentiy Beria was born in the Republic of Abkhazia, now considered a part of the Republic of Georgia but at the time part of the USSR (Soviet Union). He was not Russian.

Paula Flinn

No. They were not the President’s exact words, but the meaning of his shortened version was the same.

Carlos Ponce

" but the meaning of his shortened version was the same." No, it was not. Have you compared the two? I don't think you did but are relying on Liberal Left wing talking points. Come on, Paula! You are smarter than that! Schiff's fictitious narrative reads like a bad knock off of "The Godfather". Trump's actual phone call was cordial, NO quid pro quo, not at all similar to what Schiff said.

Carlos Ponce

There is nothing here other than a president carrying out his Constitutional duties.

"Whistleblower"???? What "whistleblower"? His or her statements have second hand, sometimes third hand reports and quotes from anti-Trump media. Let's call this person what he or she actually is: A GOSSIP!

Patricia C Newsom

This whistleblower’s statement would never be allowed in court...... hearsay!

I read somewhere Bill Silkowski said he hopes history doesn’t have a pattern of repeating itself....... hearsay.

Bailey Jones

1) In an impeachment there is no "court" except the Senate, and they can make whatever rules of evidence they choose. That's how impeachment works.

2) Whistle blowers aren't prosecutors. They point out the need for an investigation. The proper authorities investigate and gather the evidence that CAN be allowed in court, which, in this case, is the Senate. That's how "whistle blowing" works.

Carlos Ponce

Speaker Carl Albert (D) -The Impeachment Inquiry into Richard Nixon required a House floor vote (HR 803 Oct 30, 1973). Speaker Newt Gingrich (R) -The Impeachment Inquiry into Bill Clinton required a House floor vote (HR 581 Oct 8, 1998). HR 15 Jan 13, 2009, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) called for a House floor vote on am Impeachment Inquiry into impeaching Judge G. Thomas Porteous.HR 424 May 12, 2009 Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) called for an Impeachment Inquiry into Judge Samuel Kent. Nancy just proclaimed an Impeachment Inquiry WITHOUT a House floor vote. Why? This way House Republicans cannot subpoena witnesses to counter witnesses Democrats summon. This way House Republicans cannot cross examine. From a DUE PROCESS point of view this stinks.

Emile Pope

That’s garbage. Vote not needed to investigate.

Emile Pope

Show me where it requires a vote to investigate...

Carlos Ponce

It's called PRECEDENT, Emile: NIXON, CLINTON, PORTEOUS, KENT all had House Resolution votes. If Nancy REALLY has the votes, why doesn't she call for a House floor vote? Is she afraid that some in her caucus won't be loyal Donkeys?

Carlos Ponce

Strange that the definition of "whistleblower" was changed to include hearsay. This is dangerous.

Jim Forsythe

Carlos, nothing changed but a form.

The disclosure form was modified in August, but that did not change the rules for submitting complaints. Instead, in its Sept. 30 statement, the office of the ICIG said that particular form and a few others had been under review since earlier this year and were recently modified to clarify language that could have been misinterpreted by would-be whistleblowers.

“In the process of reviewing and clarifying those forms, and in response to recent press inquiries regarding the instant whistleblower complaint, the ICIG understood that certain language in those forms and, more specifically, the informational materials accompanying the forms, could be read – incorrectly – as suggesting that whistleblowers must possess first-hand information in order to file an urgent concern complaint with the congressional intelligence committees,” the statement said.

“Consistent with the law, the new forms do not require whistleblowers to possess first-hand information in order to file a complaint or information with respect to an urgent concern.”

Emile Pope

That’s false.

Emile Pope

What ponce wrote...

Carlos Ponce

Check the timeline of the "whistleblower":

July 25, 2019 President Trump speaks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

August 2019 "whistleblower" contacts Adam Schiff's staff.

August 2019 - Form changes to include "I heard about it from others" . Liberal pundits claim the form was changed as early as May 2018 but the form reads "Rev. August 2019". Must have been prior to Aug 12 since "whistleblower" used the new form.

August 12, 2019 "whistleblower" files form.

Looks like the form was changed to accommodate the gossiper. Or is it just a coincidence the form was changed? Doubtful.

Carlos Ponce

The original form was within the actual law. What was on it?

"In order to find an urgent concern “credible,” the IC IG must be in possession of reliable, first-hand information. The IC IG cannot transmit information via the ICWPA based on an employee’s second-hand knowledge of wrongdoing. This includes information received from another person, such as when a fellow employee informs you that he/she witnessed some type of wrongdoing. (Anyone with first-hand knowledge of the allegations may file a disclosure in writing directly with the IC IG.) Similarly, speculation about the existence of wrongdoing does not provide sufficient basis to meet the statutory requirements of the ICWPA. If you think wrongdoing took place, but can provide nothing more than second-hand or unsubstantiated assertions, IC IG will not be able to process the complaint or information for submission as an ICWPA."

Emile Pope

Your comments have already been proven to be false. Repeating them doesn’t change anything...

Carlos Ponce

Emile posts: "Your comments have already been proven to be false. Repeating them doesn’t change anything..." Sorry I see NO PROOF. Please point it out. Everything I post is verifiable.

Emile Pope

Then provide the verification...

Emile Pope

The whistleblower is irrelevant now...Donald admitted they were correct...

Carlos Ponce

I've triple dog dared you to show me where Trump did this - you never did!

Jim Forsythe

The whistleblower did the right thing by pointing out a problem that needed to be looked at. It is now up to the House to find out what went on, and if found to true, what to do about it. Right now is the fact gathering phase which may include a second whistleblower. The whistleblower did what was required when something looks wrong, report it.

The whistleblower has told the House what they know, and will not be going to court unless the President sues.

Emile Pope

Was proven true...

Carlos Ponce

There was no "whistlebloower"-just a man or woman spreading hearsay gossip. And Emile, nothing was proven. But if you really believe it was - show me.

Emile Pope

Cops use hearsay all the time. Only inadmissible in a TRIAL...

Carlos Ponce

A good cop doesn't make up stuff like the Democrats are doing.

Bailey Jones

Paul Hyatt

The democrats have found NOTHING on our President in the last 2 1/2 years even after spending over 40 million dollars trying to unseat a duly elected President. All this is about is trying to pull a coup so that they can install the Hildabeast into office....

Gary Miller

If it were true Democrats would not accept it.

Paula Flinn

Most people did not read the 10 Obstruction of Justice finds in the Mueller Report that the President should be charged with. Mueller made it clear that he was not looking for collusion, but for conspiracy. Of course there was collusion, as evidenced by his own words on TV. “Russia if you are listening...”, and Obstruction when he fired James Comey and then gave the interview with Lester Holt. That’s when Trump admitted that the firing of Comey occurred because of the “Russia-thing,” thereby admitting the try at Obstruction of Justice. Mueller never interviewed the President, Don Jr., or Ivanka Trump. His grown children are the President’s advisors. It remains a mystery why he didn’t interview them. The White House is in denial and brings up what-about-isms, totally off the subject. After the Mueller Report came out, Trump doubled-down and tried to get dirt on Joe Biden from the Ukraine. Recently, he said that he wanted China to investigate the Bidens.

Asking for an investigation from 2 foreign countries to dig up dirt on a political opponent is breaking the law. It is a betrayal.

Trump has betrayed his Oath of Office, and affected our National Security in those countries for personal reasons. Trump has also betrayed the Integrity of our Elections.

So, with this latest blatant crime of soliciting information about his political opponent from the Ukraine and China, who, in this country, still do not believe that Trump didn’t ask Russia for help in the 2016 election? “Russia, if you’re listening....”

You would have to be blind, deaf, and dumb not to see that President Trump has committed crimes. The lawlessness of the President is a matter of urgent national concern. This is serious.

Carlos Ponce

For the latest Donkey Party talking points read Paula's post.

Charles Douglas

Ms.Flinn, ...Let Tump be.......Trump ! DIDN'T he bring all those jobs back without that MAGIC WANE? Yes Mam he DID!!!!!!!

Emile Pope

Is that why the soybean farmers are on welfare?

Carlos Ponce

Emile, Obama was talking about MANUFACTURING JOBS, specifically Carrier's impending move to Mexico, not farming.

February 10, 2016 - Carrier Air Conditioner announced that it was moving its manufacturing operations to Mexico.

November 8, 2016 Trump gets elected and starts negotiating with Carrier.

November 29, 2016 - Carrier announced that it would keep half of the 2,000 jobs it had planned to shift to Monterrey, Mexico in Indiana.

Carrier statement: "Carrier has had very productive conversations in recent days with President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Pence. We have negotiated an agreement with the incoming administration that we believe benefits our workers, the state of Indiana and our company. We are announcing today that Carrier will continue to manufacture gas furnaces in Indianapolis, in addition to retaining engineering and headquarters staff, preserving more than 1,000 jobs."

MAGIC WAND!!!!!!

Paula Flinn

Mr. Douglas, President Trump has betrayed his Oath of Office by asking 2 Foreign Countries to dig up dirt on a political opponent. He even offered the services of William Barr, the Attorney General, to help the Ukraine. By doing this, Trump is also threatening our National Security, and he is betraying the Integrity of our Elections, all for a personal advantage in the next election. This is a serious offense, and it is an urgent national concern. President Trump swore to uphold our Constitution and it’s laws. He has violated this promise for his own personal gain. If we allow these actions to go unchecked, pretty soon we won’t have a democracy at all. We will have a dictator, an autocrat.

This isn’t about jobs or a “magic wand.” This is not funny. We all need to reflect on this and realize that there is no Republican Party, as it was, anymore. It is Trump’s Party, that is going unchecked by Senator Mitch McConnell and Congressional Republicans. What President Trump did is one step toward fascism and corruption.

Emile Pope

"Obama was talking about MANUFACTURING JOBS"??? Freudian slip? Perhaps...

Bailey Jones

Hannity says it's all fake.

Charles Douglas

Mr. JONES!! I'm not trying to be funny, but what are you doing watching Fox News! I assumed you were a CNN OR CNBC man! That's ok though, now come on home by admitting that you are also a Trump man too! It would be the honest thing to do! It's easy! AIN'T nothing to it, BUT to do It!!! Lolo. Come on over to the winning side!!!!!

Emile Pope

2nd whistleblower? It’s getting gooder...

Carlos Ponce

Second verse, same as the first. He or she expresses "concerns" about the same things: READ THE TRANSCRIPT!!!!!! No quid pro quo. No mention of the election. Trump expresses concern over the corruption involving Hunter Bide. It is Joe Biden who boasts that he got the prosecutor fired in return for Billions for Ukraine. Many wanted him fired because his investigations were getting close.

Emile Pope

More made up garbage...

Carlos Ponce

What part does Emile consider "garbage". Everything is verifiable.

Carlos Ponce

Emile posts, "Asking for a foreign power to become involved in a US election is illegal" There is NO evidence of that in the transcript. ZERO, ZIP, NADA. Elections are NEVER mentioned but the investigation into corruption is. Emile either made up that claim (no proof for it) or is regurgitating Leftist propaganda. One again I TRIPLE DOG DARE you to find it in the transcript. LET THE DOGS OUT! You couldn't last time. And you won't this time because it's not there.Transcript:

"I would like you to do us a favor though..." Notice Emile does not mention what that favor is:

"I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike ... I guess you have one of your wealthy people... The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation ."

He's asking them to look into CROWDSTRIKE which has nothing to do with the 2020 election but with the 2016 elections.

CrowdStrike helped investigate the DNC cyber attacks and connected those attacks to Russian intelligence services - which is questionable.

Emile Pope

"The OTHER thing, There's a lot of. talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the

prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you ·can look into it... It sounds horrible to me."

Miceal O'Laochdha

Mr. Silkowski, I am afraid there is probably little chance of history repeating itself in this case. In retrospect (incredible as it still seems), it appears Nixon was capable of experiencing shame. The Donald does not suffer from that burden. Also, and probably more to the point, Nixon could count and he realized that he had maybe no more than a handful of republican senators who would stand by him if an impeachment went forward to Senate trial. The Donald also does not suffer from that burden either.

Jim Forsythe

CrowdStrike determined in June 2016 that Russian agents had broken into the committee's network and stolen emails that were subsequently published by WikiLeaks. Its findings were confirmed by FBI investigators, with whom it later shared the forensic evidence.

Based on those findings, Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 members of Russia's military intelligence agency and later concluded that their operation sought to favor Trump's candidacy .

Mueller testified before the U.S. Congress the day before Trump's phone call with Zelenskiy. In the call, Trump mentioned Mueller's "incompetent performance" and said "they say it started with Ukraine."

CrowdStrike has worked for the GOP. It helped the National Republican Congressional Committee investigate email thefts by unidentified hackers during the 2018 campaign, the company told the AP in December.

CrowdStrike said in a statement that it "provided all forensic evidence and analysis to the FBI." It added: "We stand by our findings and conclusions that have been fully supported by the US Intelligence community."

Jim Forsythe

Crowdstrike’s findings were never controversial among security experts, and they were later confirmed by FBI agents with access to the same evidence, as well as additional evidence Crowdstrike never had. In October 2018, Robert Mueller indicted 12 GRU officers for the DNC intrusion and hacks targeting John Podesta and the DCCC.

Today the secret server hoax is mostly confined to the very edge of the conservative fringe, though it’s made an appearance in court. Indicted former Trump campaign advisor Roger Stone has been using the theory to try and get evidence against him thrown out of court, even filing an affidavit written by William Binney, one of the conspiracy theory’s most dogged advocates.

Carlos Ponce

"Crowdstrike’s findings were never controversial among security experts, and they were later confirmed by FBI agents with access to the same evidence, as well as additional evidence Crowdstrike never had." and who was the FBI director at the time????[rolleyes]

Jim Forsythe

Security experts

Carlos Ponce

Security experts with a checkered history.

Jim Forsythe

Carlos, please list the people that work for CrowdStrike that have a checkered past. You maybe able to list someone with a checker past that does not work for CrowdStrike. The CrowdStrike executive team is comprised of savvy business leaders and security industry experts, bringing years of experience together to create security solutions that just work. They work tirelessly to protect enterprises and governments from advanced threats and targeted attacks with cutting-edge technologies and professional services.

Carlos, do you know what the statement below means, or are you against CrowdStrike because you were told that they are bad?

CrowdStrike is a SaaS (software as a service) solution that leverages advanced EDR (endpoint detection and response) applications and techniques to provide an industry-leading NGAV (next generation anti-virus) offering powered by machine learning to ensure breaches are stopped before they occur.

If you know what the above means, then you know that thy are using state of the art applications and techniques.

Carlos Ponce

Crowdstrike misrepresented data used to "buttress claims of Russian hacking during last year's American presidential election campaign" according to the Voice of America.

https://www.voanews.com/usa/cyber-firm-rewrites-part-disputed-russian-hacking-report

Jim Forsythe

Once Crowd Strike found that they were given the wrong information from IISS, they changed the report to reflect the change.

This did not change the outcome of the House Intelligence Committee hearings.

The original Crowd Strike report was dated Dec. 22, 2016, and the updated report was dated March 23, 2017.

This update does not in any way impact the core premise of the report that the FANCY BEAR threat actor implanted malware into a D-30 targeting application developed by a Ukrainian military officer.

The Russian government has denied covert involvement in the election, but U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded that Russian hacks were meant to discredit Hillary Clinton and help Donald Trump’s campaign. An FBI and Homeland Security report also blamed Russian intelligence services.

House Intelligence Committee hearing used the updated information.

House Intelligence Committee hearing that his agency has an ongoing investigation into the hacks of Democratic campaign computers and into contacts between Russian operatives and Trump campaign associates.

Jim Forsythe

You have no idea the names of the "Security experts with a checkered history."

But they must exist, because you were told they do. Crowd strike and the companies listed bellow help make us safe. Carlos, you try and say that Crowd strike is full of Black Hats when the opposite is true.

Crowdstrike's conclusions have been backed up by at least:

Fidelis Cybersecurity, Mandiant, Securework, Threatconnect

One source article confirming Fidelis Cybersecurity and Mandiant seconding Crowdstrike's conclusions.

Post on Threatconnect's own website summarizing how it took Crowdstrike's conclusion and identified additional infrastructure links. This post also cites Securework.

Crowdstrike is a well respect firm that specializes in security threats involving nation state actors, for example China and North Korean involvement in the Sony hack.

Carlos Ponce

Crowdstrike needs investigation. “CrowdStrike widely believed to have been wrong in a controversial 2016 judgment when it claimed that Russia hacked a Ukrainian artillery app resulting in heavy losses of howitzers in combat against separatists used by Moscow.” From the book "Ball of Collusion" by Andy McCarthy. Who is the founder of CrowdStrike? Dmitri Alperovitch is a Russian emigre. CrowdStrike claimed the Russian hack caused the Ukrainians to fire on their own troops, killing thousands of them. Ukrainian says their systems were not hacked, no such battle as CrowdStrike claims, no Ukrainians killed in the alleged incident. In other words, CROWDSTRIKE MADE THE WHOLE THING UP!

"On the evening of July 5, 2016, 1,976 megabytes of data were downloaded from the DNC’s server. The operation took 87 seconds. This yields a transfer rate of 22.7 megabytes per second." Can am Internet connection hack achieve that rate of transfer? No, but connecting directly to the DNC computer's USB port can. Read "The Nation is reviewing a story casting doubt on Russian hack of DNC"

Can a Internet connection hack achieve that rate of transfer( 22.7 MB/s)? The answer is yes if you have the right equipment and skill!

Carlos ,you forgot to convert to megabits per second.. 22.7 megabytes per second is not even the fastest download speed, by a lot!

22.7 megabytes per second (MB/s) sounds impossibly fast if you don't know any better. But if you do the simple conversion from megabytes per second to megabits per second necessary to determine the actual speed of the connection used, you get a fairly reasonable 180 megabits per second (Mbps). While the report proclaims that "no internet service provider" can provide such speeds, ISPs around the world routinely offer speeds far, far faster -- from 500 Mbps to even 1 Gbps.

You also forgot about cable upgrades. You ignore that DOCSIS 3.1 cable upgrades and fiber connections deliver speeds consistently faster than that all around the world every day -- including Romania. Why is that important, because, Guccifer claimed to have run his hack from Romania.

Carlos Ponce

"Please list the people that work for Crowd Strike that have a checkered past." I ALREADY did - the RUSSIAN founder.
