Domenico Nuckols, it is a parent's prerogative to try to control what activities his or her children have access to.

Domenico Nuckols would say children can get illegal drugs on the streets.... might as well provide them.

Domenico Nuckols would say, children are going to experiment with sex. Might as well hire a prostitute for that child at home.

Domenico Nuckols would say children can get pornography on the streets. Might as well buy that for them as well.

Domenico Nuckols would say children can get this and that outside the home. Might as well provide this and that for them.

I feel sorry for Domenico Nuckols' children. There may be an older guy living in the same house but that is not parenting.

You are every REAL parent's NIGHTMARE. "But mom, but dad,,, Domenico Junior's parents let him do .........why can't I?"

Follow Domenico's advice and create a life of misery.

Carlos, Just like a true Tumper. You manufactured response, I didn’t condone anything. The internet is here and Trump LOST.

Carlos Ponce

Where'd you learn the winner of the presidency, the internet?

PAUL WASSERLOOS

Thanks, Domenico Nuckols! How many really understand kids today? Or raise a teenage daughter by themselves and hear the talking about issues! Yes, the internet is the libary, now! Carlos, you really don't know what you are talking about!

Carlos Ponce

Paul Wasserloos, I taught thousands teenagers for 38 years, 32 in public and 6 years in church school catechism. If you ever catch up, you will know I am right.

PAUL WASSERLOOS

Carlos Ponce, I was raised as a Catholic and went to a Catholic school! I would not use you teaching in CCD because the Church has not come to admit what they done to boys and nuns! Again you are soo off base! Keep drinking the Kool-Aid!

Carlos Ponce

"Church has not come to admit what they done to boys and nuns! " They have admitted it. Everyone from clergy to laity had to undergo VIRTUS training, priest deacons, sacristans, song leaders, choir members FFF (Family Faith Formation which replaced CCD), ushers, greeters, lectors, teachers, principals, etc. Sorry Paul, looks like you haven't kept up.

Charles Douglas

[thumbup][thumbup] Ahhhhhh Mr. Ponce, you are right again, which is no surprise to me! I guess you now see why children are changing in many categories of values, righteousness and stewardship in America. It is because those who have been given a mandate from God to train up a child in the way he/she should go... have jumped ship and willfully deserted those responsibilities! ( Proverbs 22:6).

Now they wonder why,....not long ago more prisons than colleges were being built in this country! Some of these same individuals no doubt would think it is okay for a man to sell his nine year old daughter to a fifty-five year old man as a Sex Partner, like I observed on the news the other day!

This nation is becoming immune to disgusting practices concerning the welfare of Children, and is becoming more like Sodom and Gomorrah everyday! The end results will be the same if those perpetuating all these ludicrous attacks and crimes against children don't cease! They violate what is right then start excoriating, and vilifying those who disagrees with them!

PS .." Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make a man a more clever devil." .......C.S. Lewis

Mr. Lewis has a great point from what I can see here!

PAUL WASSERLOOS

Charles Douglas! You don't mention the priest that abused boys!

Carlos Ponce

Paul Wasserloos, if you know of any priest, living or deceased who abused boys please report it to Cardinal di Nardo's office or go to:

https://catholicproject.catholic.edu/reporting-abuse/

By the way, a far greater number of boys, girls, young men and women have been abused by non-Catholic clergy than Catholic clergy.

Charles Douglas

PAUL WASSERLOOS...consider that included in my prior post, and any other deviant attack or abuse of children coming from anybody,...anywhere, from any profession or organization!!!!!!!!! I hope this satisfies you. I also hope this clarifies where I am coming from.

Ed Buckner

Thanks, Domenico Nuchols.

[thumbup] And we should never forget (and how can we, since we're reminded daily) that for every fact available on the Internet there's an alternative fact waiting to dull the intellect of our kids. Books are a good antidote.

C. Patterson

Is the author a parent as well? Asking for a friend…

PAUL WASSERLOOS

I am a parent! So what are you saying?

C. Patterson

Im stating that these topics are a parents right to decide when and how their minor child is introduced to sex education. These are PUBLIC institutions and are funded by our taxes and therefore not appropriate

just as teaching religious beliefs is not appropriate. I totally support teaching that there are all kinds of families. They differ in race, ethnic background marriage, single, 2 parents, same sex parents and some are just live in partners. All should be taught as part of our wonderful diversified society. ALL children should be taught these concepts and no child should be made to feel they’re an outcast based on their family but sex should not. Leave that to their parent (s)… this is not a one size fits all and parents decide based on maturity.

Carlos Ponce

I thought the author was Domenico Nuckols.

For those who don’t know that Thomas Jefferson insisted on a wall between the state and the church to be part of the first amendment to the constitution. The religious zealots of the and now have been circulating around that wall since it’s existence. This is just another nitwit Republican looking for attention so that he might find enough naive Americans to pay attention to him. Books are not a threat but the social media is. School libraries have legitimate control of what they have to offer to their students. Outside interference is completely unnecessary.

Carlos Ponce

"Thomas Jefferson insisted on a wall between the state and the church to be part of the first amendment to the constitution."

Taken out of context. Thomas Jefferson wrote that in 1802, the Bill of rights was approved in 1791, over ten years earlier. James Madison wrote the First Amendment.

You really need to read the letter from the Danbury Baptists to Thomas Jefferson to understand Thomas Jefferson's statement.

At the time, states were able to legislate a state religion while the United States government could not. The statement refers to the idea that government should not interfere in one's religion.

Read the Bill of Rights. It is a document putting limitations on the Federal government, not individuals. "Congress shall make no law......"

Gary Miller

George> They are parents trying to protect their children from evil. They might be Republicans but could be old school Democrats.

PAUL WASSERLOOS

I agree! As a parent and custody of a 13 yr old daughter

I have a question regarding bad public conduct. Adam Schif created and repeated lies for over three years. Why is he still in congress? Is it as I suspect because his political party is corrupt?

Carlos Ponce

"Members of Congress are given an absolute privilege to lie with impunity in the House or Senate, if they so desire, by the Speech or Debate Clause in Article I, Section 6 of the U.S. Constitution. It states that, with regard to senators and representatives, 'for Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.' The Framers of the Constitution wanted to encourage debate in Congress, and they did not want that debate chilled by the threat of lawsuits."

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2001/01/who-can-lie-to-congress.html

Adam Schiff lies constantly.

Remember Harry Reid lied about Mitt Romney from the Senate floor which many believed was a catalyst for Romney losing the Presidential election. He said Mitt had not paid taxes for 10 years.

Afterward when questioned about the lie, Reid said, "Romney didn't win, did he?"

Gary Miller

On subject of political corruption. Hillary R. Clinton has run up the longest list of illegal conduct, perhaps in US history, and is treated as a valued member of the Democrat party.

Gary Scoggin

I went back and checked. Hillary lost in 2016. (Just like Trump in 2020.)

Bailey Jones

And who could forget BLM and ANTIFA storming the Capitol during Trump's certification?

Carlos Ponce

I won't forget but Liberals plead the Schultz defense: "I see NOTHING, NOTHING!"

John Sullivan - BLM activist.

"Pro-Trump Insurrection? Leaked CCTV Footage Reveals Antifa Or BLM Were The First To Enter Capitol On Jan. 6"

https://www.christianitydaily.com/articles/12201/20210612/pro-trump-insurrection-leaked-cctv-footage-reveals-antifa-or-blm-were-the-first-to-enter-capitol-on-jan-6.htm

"Two known Antifa members posed as pro-Trump to infiltrate Capitol riot: sources "

https://nypost.com/2021/01/07/known-antifa-members-posed-as-pro-trump-to-infiltrate-capitol-riot-sources/

And that's the problem, wolf in sheep's clothing. Wearing MAGA gear or sporting a pro-Trump banner does not necessarily mean a Pro-Trump person but a ruse.

domenico nuckols

Carlos, your next. Bann on is going to JAIL

Carlos Ponce

I didn't know domenico was the judge.......

Ted Gillis

Carlos would through out a whole bushel of corn if he spotted one bad kernel.

Such a purist.

Carlos Ponce

How does one "through out a who bushel of corn"?

Carlos Ponce

How does one "through out a whole bushel of corn"?

Ted Gillis

The New York Post? Isn't that something like the National Enquirer?

Carlos Ponce

No.

Ted Gillis

Sorry, but I meant to type “throw”. It would be nice if the GDN would assign us an editor to proof read our comments before posting them.

Carlos Ponce

Okay, corn is not one of my favorites. So I would not purchase on purpose. If it appears on my plate as presented by a host, I would not throw it away for a single bad kernel. That would be rude.
