The Delta Kappa Gamma Society is an international organization of women educators that was established in 1929 to work for quality education by quality women teachers. The organization continues that mission today in every state and 16 countries.

Our mission statement is “Impacting Education by Impacting Educators.”

In keeping with that legacy, the DKG Omicron Chapter is offering five mini grants, up to $500 each to Galveston Independent School District educators of either gender.

Grant money may be used for professional development in the form of conferences, workshops, continuing education classes or classroom materials that would impact student success in the 2021-22 school year.

The application deadline is Dec. 1. For applications, contact Denise Byrd, grant chairman, at daab4027@gmail.com.
