Lady, your "freedoms" end at my doorstep! Never forget!

Doyle Neuwiller

Dear Lord, above!!

Gary Miller

Origon liberal is a west coast scoff law. Full extent of law should be her reward for causing trouble at bank.

Paula Flinn

Some people didn’t see the entire tape where she was given a choice and chose neither option, bu took the chance to argue with the bank manager and the policeman, who were both very nice. When she said, “What are you going to do, arrest me”? It was time for them to say, “Yes,” and do it. Then, she became belligerent and raised her voice. Some people didn’t see the part of the tape where she was nicely given a choice to put on a mask or leave. The “lady” chose to argue.

Carlos Ponce

The posted video starts when the officer enters the bank. The bank employee just points to the woman in question.

Where is the video you saw with interaction between the customer and bank manager? Please provide a link.

It was just the officer talking. I thought the bank manager was there, also. I’m sure the manager wasn’t far off. They are so nice at that bank.

Some stations did not show the whole video from the beginning.

Carlos Ponce

So no interaction between the lady and bank manager.

Gary Scoggin

That doesn’t make the lady right. She had clear instructions to leave.

Carlos Ponce

The video shows her heading toward the door.

Gary Miller

Paula> This woman entered the bank with intention of starting trouble. Now probable she will sue bank and police on some trumped up charge.

Carlos Ponce

According to the FOX26 Interview she was driving a rig which would not fit in the drive through. She was there to make a withdrawal of money. She was next in line and followed the "red dots" on the floor to maintain social distancing.

Jack Cross

Gary Carlos is correct. The woman did not come in the bank to cause problems, She wanted to close out her account and probably leave the state. You can argue that the officer and the bank are on solid grounds and the woman is wrong. That may be true but it is also may be true that the woman thought she was right.

I googled "Gov. Abbott lifts mask ban" and here was the very first headline I got

https://gov.texas.gov/news/post/governor-abbott-lifts-mask-mandate-opens-texas-100-percent (what is 100 percent)

When you sensational a story you expect to get headlines and i can guarantee that the reason this story went viral was not in support of the bank or the policemen,

Also, Like towing the black man with a rope,, Because of the way this was handled although lawful under the mandate, it is unwanted negative publicity for the city, without question.

Bill Broussard

Was she wanting to drive her rig through Home Depot Carlos? Of course, you are the one who thinks situational politics should justify our Judge lying to the school district

“ Btw: Texas City police say Terry Lynn Wright, 65, was taken into custody after a similar mask standoff at an Office Depot there TODAY!”

Bill Broussard

Guess you can’t trust fake news Carlos

Carlos Ponce

I do not. Why does Bill Broussard trust fake news?

Paula Flinn

The drive-thru has been closed for a long time at that bank. She could have worn a mask.

Carlos, some stations just showed the video from the point of the officer wrestling her down to put handcuffs on her. They didn’t show the part where they were offering her the chance to put on a mask or leave.

Carlos Ponce

Ok, so that means you have no link showing interaction between the lady and bank manager that you described.

Gary Miller

Carlos> She did everything right except wear a mask, argue with bank manager and police. Some time in jail might educate her. Next day pulled same stunt again.

Gary Miller

Carlos. What she was driving wasn't involved.

Charles Douglas

Mr. Miller> if she did complain, she will in all probability be waiting her money and her time! She broke the law and was defiant about it! You let her get away with that, and she might rob the Bank next time! I would also like to make note that the GPD Officer works for Galveston and was certified by Texas, and he is not a Border Guard, working for the government! He enforces the laws in our community. Now if nothing else, this lady, and the World knows if you come down here ...we expect you to obey our laws! Thank you Galveston, and thank you GPD! We got ya backs!!!!!

Gary Miller

Charles> Say it true again. I agree with what you say.

Charles Douglas

Correction**** not waiting ..but wasting her time!!!!

Bill Broussard

“ Other customers stood indifferently by.”. I suspect not many bank customers would like to be arrested for interfering with a police officer and the execution of their duty. Frankly, I call that wise

I also think you confuse a few things like Texan independence and self reliance with disobeying a police officer and violation of private property rights.

After reading your letter a couple times all I can say is : isn’t it crawfish season and shouldn’t you get back to work? We independent Texans are counting on you!

Charles Douglas

Mr. Broussard> [thumbup]

Mary, you are an idiot!
