Using military funds to build the border wall/fence/barrier is within the LAW 10 USC 284 passed by a previous Congress and signed by a previous president. Randy' potential opponent in 2020, Adrienne Bell supports policies that would hurt the petrochemical industry in this Congressional District costing thousands of jobs. Vote for whom you want but voting for Randy's opponent reminds me of the idiom "cutting off your nose to spite your face".

I agree....

The House Bill in question is HR 4378:

A spokesperson for Weber said the Congressman felt "the weight of bad provisions in the C.R. was too overwhelming to justify a YES vote, for the sole purpose of extending NFIP [National Flood Insurance Program], which is very important to the 14th Congressional District of Texas."

Funding for assistance for victims of Tropical Storm Imelda is important but they lumped it in with a lot of other provisions, some good, most not. If it was so important why didn't the Democrat House leadership put it in a stand alone bill?

At least he showed up and flew around for a look see. Good for him. I remember our previous congressman Ron Paul was too busy taking care of some “roof issues” at his house in Lake Jackson to ever show up here after hurricane Ike. We did get a visit from Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, even though we weren’t in her district. Good for her!

Who's payroll are you on now?
