It’s disappointing. We have an incumbent congressman representing the people of Texas’ 14th District as we ask. Randy Weber — a free thinker who stands by the rule of law, works tirelessly with like-minded, responsibly conservative House and Senate members, and who backs President Trump fervently at every turn — has looked after his constituency, “brought home the bacon” and helped move his district, our state and our nation forward at a pace one finds difficulty remembering. And he gets what in return for his trouble?

Joshua Foxworth.

Who? Never heard of him? Me neither. So, what does Foxworth bring to our little corner of Texas? Exemplifying the false narrative and Democrat mantra that Republicans are racist.

Swaddled in pastel rhetoric, Foxworth has but one goal. To make his constituency out to be a bunch of racist bigots who have no tolerance for anyone wanting to come to this country, legally, to better their lives and perhaps have a positive influence over ours.

Slam the border shut? To illegals? Absolutely. But Foxworth wants to desecrate our heritage as a nation of "legal" immigrants. You, Joshua Foxworth, do not represent my views nor the views of 99.9 percent of the 14th District.

Weber is worthless. The most dangerous place to be is between Randy "Photo Op" Weber and a camera!

" The most dangerous place to be is between Randy "Photo Op" Weber and a camera!" Been there, Michael, no problem! I've also been photographed with Randy and video recorded his address to the graduating class of Hitchcock High School.

Michael> Sounds like you haven't joined Trump's peace and prosperity faction. It isn't too late. Your progressive Tax and spend faction only has a few more months.

A responsible conservative would not fervently back a free spending “we’ll just print more money” president

Bailey Jones

Thanks for this - I've never heard of Joshua Foxworth, I'll have to check him out.

....and I just did (https://www.foxworthforcongress.com).

OMG. Weber doesn't look nearly as bad now. At least he can spell.

Ted Gillis

I've witnessed this before. We had Congressman before that was the best at "bringing home the bacon" as Kevin stated. His name was Jack Brooks. However he was turned out by an electorate on a whim, because he dared to run while being a Democrat. His opponent, (now in prison), had only one qualification, running as a Republican.

We have parks, airports, and federal buildings named for Jack Brooks, but nothing named for Steve Stockman.

Randy needs to take a look back at history, because his electorate will not.

Gary Miller

When I worked with and for Brooks he taught me Republicans were preferable. Stockmans policies were right but his morels were not. We found a better choice since. Let's keep Randy. Foxworth talks good but Stockman did too.

Carol Dean

Foxworth is new! Weber has been there for HOW LONG??? He is nothing more then a photo happy, bragadocious, bought by lobbiest "flunkie"

You should have seen how upset he and Brenda Gail became when Foxworth CLEARLY won a debate at COM! The people in attendance flocked around Foxworth becaue he was genuine, truthful, and professional. Randy, not so much.

Carlos Ponce

Jack Brooks would not recognize today's Democrat Party.

Mary Gillespie

During his 42 years in Congress, Jack Brooks' net worth increased from nearly nothing to nearly $8 million. Congressmen aren't paid much, and they were paid less when he was in office.

So where did the money come from? I always felt he was dishonest.

Gary Miller

Mary> Brooks was honest by Democrat standards.

Charles Douglas

Whoaaaa!!!!!! We should slow down and tarry a while on Ms. GILLESPIE'S post! I think what her point here is we either need to insist on more integrity, honesty, and character from our politicians or we must slap term limits on them! Seldom will any of them get enough clout to be bribed soundly in four to six years. It is when they make being a DC Politician their life work is when they end up working for wewlthy special interest groups and rich LOBBYISTS, like Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and others who came in poor, and hungry, but now are filthy rich, and dishonest!

Bailey Jones

Charles, you know Nancy and her husband of 57 years are wealthy real estate developers, right? You don't have anything against people like that, do you?

Charles Douglas

Mr. Jones, never let it be said, that I will not admitt when I make a mistake. I most humbly apologize to you as a fan of San Fran Nan. Strike that poor thing where she is concerned. Instead she came in RICH, and now from her associations with people with money for favors, now she is MUCH RICHER than she was when she arrived there! [wink]

Bailey Jones

Above all, Charles, I'm a fan of facts.

Carol Dean

I bet Weber just might fall into that group who receives money from paid lobbyists.

Dan Freeman

Mr. Bakko wrote: “Randy Weber — a free thinker.” If Congressman Weber had an original thought, it would die of loneliness.

Carlos Ponce

I take it Dan Freeman has never spoke with Randy Weber. I have. If Dan had ever listened to Randy Weber he would realize his post is without merit.

domenico nuckols

Anybody but Randy Weber untruthful

Gary Miller

Carlos> When Randy came to speak at our TC LM Tee Party meetings he was very well received. WE always had a good turnout if we learned he would be there.

Carol Dean

Tee Party as in GOLF?

A potato salad would be a better candidate than a Republican.

Carlos Ponce

When potato salad goes on the ballot then we'll consider this proposition. Until then, your observation is worthless.

Gary Miller

Emile> That puts Democrats kinda low with Republicans rating better than Democrats.

Ted Gillis

So Gary, you admit that it’s okay to vote for a person with no morals so long as his says things that matches your political views, that is until someone better comes along. That speaks a lot.

Carlos Ponce

"No morals"......Democrats nominated and elected a man with a checkered past going back before his days as the governor of Arkansas. Difference being there was proof against Bill Clinton supplied by Arkansas State Troopers - a reliable source. But look what happened when Stephanie Clifford went to court against Donald Trump - she wound up paying HIM. And her lawyer is heading for prison.

Gary Miller

Ted> I admit no such. Policies and performance is what rates my candidates, Lies by liberals have no influence on my choice.

Carol Dean

Do not bring up the words Moral and Weber in the same sentence!

Charles Douglas

Is that the State Of Virginia which has a Governor who admitted to wearing Blackface in a college yearbook photo? The actual-factuals have not been verified by his friends because many says he was the one in the KKK outfit. I notice that these "So called champions of MINORITIES...are allowing him along with the Lieutenant Governor who have accusations of sexual assault against him from at least two females, to stay in office. Where is that LEBERAL outrage for JUSTICE against BIGOTRY, RACISM, & MISOGYNY toward these men? Why are Democrats, and The LEFT, not marching in the streets carrying signs? Why have DCNN, DNBC, DCBS, DMSNBC, and all the rest of the DEMOCRATIC Fake News Outlets remained Cricket- Quiet concerning these inciďents? Nothing works for them. They DUG A RUSSIAN HOLE for TRUMP, but MUELLER, MCCABE, STRZOK, & PAGE FELL IN IT! After that failed, they threw a UKRAINIAN ROCK at TRUMP BUT Joe, and Hunter BIDEN got HIT instead!!! When are these geniuses going to figure out that no matter what they come up with or what they do,... DONALD J. TRUMP is not going anywhere! They should call GOLAITH, from the grave, he could tell them who they are facing! Lord knows I've tried!

Gary Scoggin

I can’t believe Joshua Foxworth is trying to stake out political ground to the right of Randy Weber. That’s a pretty thin slice.

Ted Gillis

Good grief Charles, don’t blow a gasket! I hope you got all your talking points in.

I’m just reminding Gary that he got lied to and was conned by Stockman.

My comment was to him and all the voters who think Randy Weber has got this thing wrapped up. It’s a false confidence, as I’ve witnessed the opposite happening.

Gary Miller

Ted. The truth about Stockman wasn't known until a coupla years after he was elected.Got rid of him soon after that.

Ted Gillis

Yes we got rid of him and we replaced him with Nick Lampson, a former school teacher from Beaumont. Nick was probably one of the most honest persons to serve in Congress that represented our area, but then he fell victim to redistricting. We got stuck with the Ron Paul from Lake Jackson who didn’t really care about us, as he was too busy running for president. Now Randy has been a fairly visible and likable congressman, as others have commented, however he should be more cautious with who he has pictures taken with. I can’t seem to get that photo of him and the Russian spy Maria Butina out of my head. Yes I know, politicians have their photos taken with hundreds of people. They can’t control that, however that picture is almost like “Hilary’s laugh” or “Howard Dean’s Scream”.

Just too good for his opponents to pass up on.

Bailey Jones

I liked Nick. I met him once at a political event. He headed up one of the bipartisan caucuses. We need more public servants with his cooperative spirit.

Carol Dean

If you knew what I know about Weber, that photo would make you CRINGE!
