Just stick a white "I surrender" flag on each one and call it done.

Here is what the Holy Ghost spoke into my heart some years back when I was trying to move on from my past but struggle in doing so, He spoke this Scripture, " Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, FORGETTING those things which are BEHIND, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the PRIZE of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." ......( Philippians 3:13-14 ). I personnally dont give a fat rat's behind about a statue of history sitting somewhere not moving! I would prefer to keep my eye on an individual who is quick in trying to distract me into focusing on statues doing nothing to me juxtapose to a living human trying to keep me down! I also wonder why the name of Washington on States, towns, statues, and other things have not been attacked by the LEFT? You know! Place like DC, Washinton State etc. etc. Old Thomas Jefferson is another one the LEFT ..quietly steps around without tearing down statues and renaming buildings bearing his name! I met one of his legitimate Black realatives who spoke at my high school many years ago! You realize what Old Thomas was doing back then don't you? Why we don't hear anything about that from the LEFT? Both men bought, sold, and maintained SLAVES!!!!! Do something about that!!!! Deceiving and Deception is the name of the game now isn't it? Get me to thinking about Old General Lee, and Stonewall Jackson, in the past, while Old Nancy Pelosi, Shifty Schiff, O'Biden, and Crybaby Schumer keep me bottled up and saddled with bad teachers, bad schools, welfare, and food stamps in the present while vilifying and excoriating conservatives as the enemy! Well no thank you! I walked off that farm of repression, and oppression years ago, and don't regret it one bit! I still have a few relatives taking yall's "Provisions" for their votes but many of them like myself, have walked away seeking better! In other words we are not buying what the LEFT is selling!

Charles Douglas

Even the country of "CHAZ" in Minneapolis is trying to deceive and disenfranchise Black Americans! They want to make every WHITE

American give BLACKS in that area TEN DOLLARS! AAAAAhahaha! Lololo! A big old ten DOLLARS! I think they are electing their own President pretty soon!

"Dan Freeman lives in Galveston." - An island, a city, a county named after Bernardo de Galvez, former Spanish Governor of Louisiana who imported slaves into that territory. And don't forget the hotel named after him.

"He [Galvez] also oversaw Spain’s plan to encourage European immigration and the importation of enslaved Africans to Louisiana in order to facilitate economic growth."

"These are largely reminders of generals who took oaths to defend the Constitution of the United States...When their states formed a country dedicated to preserving the right to keep humans as property, these leaders betrayed their oath. They chose to lead armies that would attempt to destroy the United States."

While you quote relevant history as to black oppression, you don't seem to have the basics down when it comes to constitutional history. There was no "United States" until Lincoln decided to make one up. There were the "united States of America." The Confederacy was never about destroying the "United States." It was about the right of the sovereign states of the union to withdraw their consent to be governed in a federal system. The racism and slave trade are certainly issues that must be confronted directly, but not from your erroneous perspective. If anyone betrayed the Constitution, it was those like Lincoln who conceived the entity United States. That entity was never named in the founding documents, the Founders did not in any instance proclaim a "national" government and they did not at any time prohibit the free association or withdrawal of the states, as near as I can tell.

To continue..."Nazi thugs were brought to trial and punished for their atrocities in Nuremburg."

And in yet another man bites dog story, over 1,600 German scientists--many Nazi party members and some even leaders--were spirited out of Germany at the end of WWII during Operation Paperclip and taken to the US, where they became the foundation for our space program. One Nazi party member became director of NASA during Kennedy's administration; imagine that.

The idea that the South has been a moral reprobate because of its Confederate statuary while the federal government at its seat in the North has been an unerring example of justice is another myth that deserves to be seen as history told by the victors.

David Hardee

The theme is palatable but associating Confederate civil war to Nazism polluted the good efforts. The litany of atrocities is missing any specifics nor has he included any of the corresponding atrocities from the other side.

Without the agitator leaders most of these demonstrators are members of the herd. The herds of demonstrations are oblivious of the history, causes and the effects that you knowledge aficionados are submitting are driving them. Most of the demonstrators are ignorant of history beyond their immediate time and physical boundaries. These are not deep thinkers. They are self-perceived victims of society. They in the majority are malcontents and self-loathing because they don’t have etd., etc. ( the list is to big to enumerate).

Stop the contentious discussion. It is only reverberating in this small circle.

I am guilt of contributing. Mea Culpa.

I can't help but to wonder, ..if all these names from the Southern past are offensive and racist, ..like the University of Texas school song is now said to be, what are all the people of Color and White alike, going to do about the names of the Racist, Slave Owners being worn by hundreds of thousands of us now, and which our families have worn for generations? All of us who wear those names are walking, living memorials to those same racist individuals of the past, and therefore are allowing them to reach out touching the present generations of mankind! Yes, the names the LEFT is so fascinated in destroying or removing from schools, parks, cities, and statues, are still walking around everyday on human beings!!! I want to know what will the LEFT do about this? I use to be an NFL fan, but I will not watch the NFL now. The Native Americans have been on the NFL for decades to change the name of the Washington Readskins and it has not happened neither has the LEFT griped about it! All this says is ....this is all POLITICS and MANIPULATION in an election year to harvest minority votes.

Gary Miller

I ee no reason to protect or preserve statues of Democrats ( Aka Confederates) who took control of the south after reconstruction. During that period of one party rule they produced hundreds of memorals to turncoat Democrats. Tear um down, change the names. Erase Democrats from the south forever. The only thing worth remembering about the Confederacy is it LOST. Why anyone can be proud of supporting slavery and then segregation then racial represion I can not understand. Erase the memory of Democrats every where.

Gary Miller

As a white Conservative I'm called a racist by Democrats. I've never known a racist conservative but know many racist Democrats. Don't know a Democrat that isn't.

Gary Scoggin

I've known plenty of racists in both parties.

Carlos Ponce

"I've known plenty of racists in both parties." Gary Scoggin, please don't tell us about your family...

Gary Scoggin

Carlos, I think you were trying to be funny but let's consider it -- as my HS Algebra teacher used to say -- a noble but unsuccessful effort. In fact, though, your statement is true. I'm willing to be that if we really look at things, it's true for many of us.

Carlos Ponce

"In fact, though, your statement is true...." 'Nuff said.

Gary Scoggin

Actuall, that's not "nuff said." The next sentence is also important and provides context for the one before it. Please no more FoxNews editing.

Carlos Ponce

Your statement, Gary Scoggin.

Gary Scoggin

The fact that you don't include the full context , even when its right in front of your face, illustrates why people pay little attention to what you have to say. But you are amusing at times, I have to say that.

Carlos Ponce

"why people pay little attention to what you have to say. "

Got your attention, didn't I?[beam]

Gary Scoggin

Barely.

Carlos Ponce

I still have your attention - enough for you to post several times![beam]

I just heard that NYPD was made to layoff 600 plain clothes Detectives! They are gone ...just like that! Now What was some of my Democratic, Progressive Associates trying to get me to swallow the other day concerning ....not dismantling the police? This is just the beginning! Once this thing get up some steam it is going to be some static going on in this country, and I don't mean maybe! The late Charles Manson was right! He was nuts,....but it looks more and more like he was onto something!

Jim Forsythe

Police Commissioner Dermot Shea described the move as a massive cultural shift for the department, saying the 600 officers who are part of the unit will be transitioned to other departments, including the detective bureau and neighborhood policing.

Ted Gillis

FBI investigators in Oakland today announced that it was two white supremesist, using the George Flyod protestors as cover, that shot the two federal security guards outside the Santa Cruz courthouse last week, not Antifas. Another white supremesist shot a protestor in Albuquerque New Mexico yesterday.

Beware of the Boogaloos!

Bailey Jones

Oh sure - DEEP STATE FBI!!!

Carlos Ponce

Ted, if you are suggesting that all members of antifa are blameless, AG Barr has information showing more than a few antifa bad actors.

"We have evidence that antifa and other similar extremist groups, as well as actors of a variety of different political persuasions have been involved in instigating and participating in the violent activity. We are also seeing foreign actors playing all sides to exacerbate the violence."

Jim Forsythe

Beware of the Boogaloos!

Carlos Ponce

"Back Off Boogaloo" is a song by Ringo Starr. The title for the song was inspired by English singer-songwriter Marc Bolan. Bolan died in 1977, Jim. He poses no threat to you.

Jim Forsythe

The boogaloo movement, members of which are often referred to as boogaloo boys or boogaloo bois, is a loosely organized American far-right extremist movement. Members generally identify as a libertarian citizen-militia, and say they are preparing for a second American Civil War, which they call the "boogaloo".

Jim Forsythe

George Harrison produced the recording and helped Starr write the song.

What part did Bolan play in writing "Back Off Boogaloo"? Bolan had used the word "boogaloo" so often that it stuck in Starr's mind. That was the extent of his help, but he continued to be friends with Harrison and Starr. They all hung out together and Bolan's was the founder of T. Rex.

Carlos Ponce

So there were Boogaloos back in the 60s.

Did you know your phone has a Ringo button? Most call it the "Star Key".[beam]
