Gary Scoggin

A joke I saw the other day....

Q: Why did God send Donald Trump?

A: Because he ran out of locusts.

Carlos Ponce

Interesting that you consider this a "joke". But why did God send locusts?

To eat: Leviticus 11:22 " Specifically, of these you may eat the various kinds of locusts, grasshoppers, katydids and crickets."

"Yochanan [John the Baptist] wore clothes of camel's hair with a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey." Matthew 3:4

To punish those who go against the will of God:

"Here is what ADONAI, God of the Hebrews, says: 'How much longer will you refuse to submit to me? Let my people go, so that they can worship me. Otherwise, if you refuse to let my people go, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your territory. Exodus 10: 3-4

"Then out of the smoke onto the earth came locusts, and they were given power like the power scorpions have on earth. They were instructed not to harm the grass on the earth, any green plant or any tree, but only the people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads." Revelation 9: 3-4

So what Gary Scoggin considers a "joke" is actually a good analogy. God sends locusts to feed the people and to go against those who do not do the will of God.

"Q: Why did God send Donald Trump? A: Because he ran out of locusts."

So what Gary Scoggin is posting is God sent us Trump to feed His people and to go against the evildoers who go against God's will. Thank you Gary. This will preach!

Gary Scoggin

If that analogy works for you like that, Carlos, go with it. It just shows the hilarious depths you will go to to defend our President.

Question: Can you name one policy mistake Donald Trump has made as President?

Carlos Ponce

Defend the President? No. Defend what the BIBLE ACTUALLY STATES, definitely! Now you find "hilarity" in the Bible? Does Gary Scoggin dispute the scriptures cited?

Gary Scoggin

Dispute the Scriptures? No. They are there in the Bible. Dispute the context and manner in which they are being applied here? Absolutely.

Carlos Ponce

Your interpretation is different? Okay let's hear it.

Charles Douglas

Before I wade in, I'd like for Gary to discuss or clarify his take on the scriptures being taken out of CONTEXT abundantly..concerning the mass slaughter and murder of babies, (..proportionately per group more African-Americans babies than anýone else )...in and out of the womb, not only in Amerca, but also in the world too! Go ahead Gary! How is refraining from murdering those who God Knew before they were in the womb... and those he assigned callings and anointings to BEFORE ....Before...they were born out of the womb is beiňg taken out of CONTEXT. I'll wait......I'll be back around 1 or 2 pm .

Gary Scoggin

Charles... where did I mention abortion? I’m pro-life. For both the unborn and the born.

Paula Flinn

Tariffs harming the farmers.

Charles Douglas

Now I have to apologize to you Gary!!!! I am sorry for falsely accusing you! It WAS kind of early though!!!! However an apology is still in order.

Gary Scoggin

Earlier I said, "Dispute the Scriptures? No. They are there in the Bible. Dispute the context and manner in which they are being applied here? Absolutely."

First let's start with Carlos' summary of locusts scriptures. Either he had a wonderful exegesis of the theorlogical meanings of locusts handy or he just looked up "locusts" in his Concordance. Either way, it doesn't provide a lot of meaning to the discussion at hand. Moving on...

More important is the context of Romans 13:1. It is one of those verses that have been misused for centuries, especially those who pledge blind allegence to anything the Government or its leaders want to do. It was used to justify slavery, Nazism, Aparthied and many other government evils.

Are we to assume that every leader, good or evil, is sent by God and we are therefore commanded to follow them no matter what? Several commentaries suggest that Paul's teaching to the Christians in Rome was to not practice civil disobedience and to keep the Christian-hating Roman authorities from having additional reason to persecute them.

You guys feel free to believe whatever you want, but I believe that Paul wasn't telling us to follow the secular rulers no matter what.

Carlos Ponce

"Either he had a wonderful exegesis of the theorlogical meanings of locusts handy or he just looked up "locusts" in his Concordance." Neither. It's knowing the BIBLE.

Carlos Ponce

Paula posts, "Tariffs harming the farmers." Most farmers don't feel harmed. They know in th long run this will work to their advantage.

Carlos Ponce

Gary Scoggin posts, "I’m pro-life. For both the unborn and the born" Good for you. Anyone who is pro-Life cannot support a political party which promotes and wants the government to fund abortion.

Gary Scoggin

Thanks for your moralizing, judgemental attitude telling me what I can and cannot do, Carlos.

Carlos Ponce

Well, let me put it bluntly. A person who is pro-Life yet supports a party that promotes government funding of abortion is a hypocrite. Sorry about that chief but " 'tis true,

'tis true 'tis pity, and pity 'tis, 'tis true —a foolish figure." William Shakespeare

Gary Miller

Documented and verified? Every time Donald disagrees with progressives it's called a lie. 14,000 is a good number for a good leader. Actually 14,000 is how many times progressives were wrong. Or how often Donald was correct.

Carlos Ponce

This from the Washington Post: "Another false claim — that Biden forced the resignation of a Ukrainian prosecutor because he was investigating his son Hunter — just barely missed the cutoff for inclusion. (Trump has said it 18 times.)"

Fact: Joe Biden bragged he wanted the resignation of the Ukrainian Prosecutor or the United States would not give them $1 Billion in aid.

Fact: Ukrainian officials confirm Biden wanted the prosecutor fired, the reason being prosecutor was investigating Burisma. Under oath the prosecutor testified the Vice-President wanted him fired because of Hunter Biden's association with Burisma.

So when they say Trump told over 14,000 lies consider the source. Here the Washington Post (WAPO) told some whoppers, not Trump.

Keith Gray

Daniels supports the party of Satan... how can you call yourself a Christian and not denounce abortion? You conspire a man who if far from perfect, yet he get positive results, and all the party of Satan has to offer is socialist. Daniels, you never answer anyone on these forums who challenges you. Just once denounce the killing of the unborn... God's greatest gift to us. I bet you will not... prove me wrong.

Charles Douglas

Ms Flinn, unless I missed something, out of the billions of dollars China is having to pay AMERICA, because of those tariffs, the President okayed subsidies to be paid out the windalls from that to help the farmers! Now China is buying from us again, because their attack on our farmers did not work! The farmers stood by our President and everything is working out.

Gary Scoggin

The tariffs are paid by the importers, not the Chinese. They are passed on to consumers. In other words they are paid by Americans. Their intention is to act as a pricing intervention to drive business normally going to the Chinese elsewhere.

The subsidies, due to the retaliation by the Chinese for the Trump tariffs, are paid by the American taxpayers. This particular bailout is much bigger than that given to the Auto industry. No good fiscal conservative can justify such market intervention and wealth redistribution.

The trade war may hurt the Chinese but it also hurts Americans. But Trumpeters don't seem to understand this. maybe because they are not true fiscal conservatives.

Paula Flinn

The farmers have permanently lost their markets and the subsidies (Socialism handouts) are not going to the small farmers, but to the large conglomerates. Everything is definitely NOT working out for many farmers. The subsidies do not begin to pay what they would get if they were able to sell their crops. You are living in La-la-land. In fact, some farmers are committing suicide. They certainly are not looking forward to another growing season with those tariffs. That includes dairy farmers, also.

Carlos Ponce

"The farmers have permanently lost their markets...." Paula, that's not true. Take time to read about farmers, small farm and corporate:

"Why America’s tariff-hit farmers still support Trump"

https://nypost.com/2019/07/13/why-americas-tariff-hit-farmers-still-support-trump/

"Farmers are hurting, but they still support Trump and his trade war — for now"

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/19/farmers-are-hurting-but-they-still-support-trump-and-his-trade-war-for-now.html

"Why Farmers Still Support Trump - By Iowa State University"

https://www.agriculture.com/news/business/why-farmers-still-support-trump

"First came the trade war, then the shutdown, but Iowa farmers still back Trump"

https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/22/politics/iowa-farmers-government-shutdown-weir/index.html

About suicides, "A widely cited study on high suicide rates among agricultural workers may be inaccurate, according to a retraction issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week. The report had been the subject of news articles across national media, including at least two in Mother Jones."

https://www.motherjones.com/media/2018/07/the-cdc-just-retracted-its-farmer-suicide-data-that-could-be-terrible-news-for-farmers/

Are there suicides among farmers? Yes, but the reasons cited are usually outside the tariffs, subsidies and Trump. The CDC reports "suggested possible causes for the high suicide rate among US farmers, including 'social isolation, potential for financial losses, barriers to and unwillingness to seek mental health services (which might be limited in rural areas), and access to lethal means'."

https://www.agriculture.com/news/business/stress-act-introduced-to-address-farmer-suicide

The STRESS Act designed to address mental health services to individuals engaged in farming, ranching, and other agriculture-related occupations was introduced by Rep. Tom Emmer [R-MN-6] and died in the House.

Gary Miller

Paula> My kin in Kansas and Nebraska, seven families/nine farms, farm a combined 21 square miles. They tell me they totally support Trump. The tariffs hurt less than a hail storm and are being used to get some fairness in farm trade. They feel the little pain now will result in pleasure later. A lot like bad year, good year farming.

The thumbups were for you Mr. Gray.

I just came back to check if Daniels would denounce the killing of the unborn... he didn't prove me wrong. We are all with sin, but how can he stand and represent God's word and not denounce such a horrible act?

Carlos Ponce

“Chosen for what?” To take America back from the Godless Democrats. Theirs is the party of allowing the mass murder of millions of America's children through abortion. Their party booed the vote interpretation putting God and Jerusalem into their party platform. They harbor the anti-Israel, anti- Jewish among their ranks. The world map in one Democrat Congresswoman's office excludes Israel. Her anti-Jewish rhetoric would merit censure from Congress before but not today.

No candidate is perfect for "all have fallen short of the Kingdom" of God. If you are looking for a perfection among any politician; Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green, etc., you will not find one. An old Earth saying suggests those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. But Jesus said it best, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone.”

Carlos Ponce

"and verified 14,000 falsehoods" No, Daniels You are just repeating Democrat party propaganda. If you look at what they consider a "falsehood" you will find much of it is opinion, not fact nor fiction and hyperbole - a tool used by many especially Obama. What Daniels calls "verified" is not. But he parrots the Democrat Party line.

In Texas elementary schools they are teaching children to differentiate facts and opinions. Maybe Daniels should attend. [innocent]

14,000 lies, wow, wonder how many SAN FRAN NAN has told? How about Crybaby Chuck? Ohhhhh lets try Shifty Schiff!! Does not matter anyway. We are dealing with who chose who and why right? Isaiah 44:28 "It is I who says of Cyrus, "He is my shepherd (Ruler ), and he will carry out all that I desire__." Who chose King Cyrus The Great to be the ruler doing that time? Cyrus was not a Jew, ...nor was he a perfect man! God chose to use Cyrus, who would be The King Of Persia, ( NOW IRAN ) and he championed his causes! He promised to run interference for Cyrus to be successful in all he ( God ) called him to do! Isaiah 45: 1-7! God called this man about 150 years BEFORE HE WAS BORN, and he let him know what was asked of him! You think Cyrus was a Godly man? EPHESIANS 2:10 says God called each of us before hand to do good works in the earth! Now, 1 Samuel 16: 1 The Lord said to Samuel, "How long will you morn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king of Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem, I have chosen one of his sons ( David )...to be KING." 1 Samuel 9:16 " Tomorrow about this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, ( Saul )...and you shall anoint him to be PRINCE." ( King )..said the Lord. Acts 9:15, But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man ( PAUL )...is my chosen Instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. --- Now, let me ask anybody who chooses to answer, WHO ASKED THESE PEOPLE MENTIONED TO BE LEADERS INTHE LAND? Who chose them for his purposes? Lastly, someone will think, ....but How will we know about Trump! I'LL tell you! You cannot hurt who God is helping, and you CANNOT curse who GOD is BLESSING! If God is with you, if you have the whole world against you it will not be enough to harm you. Now you tell me! Why is Trump still in office and he has had the most powerful political machines, in the history of politics, most powerful people, spys, corrupt government officials working ...trying to desgrace him and to throw him out? Your Honor, if it pleases the Court, The Defense Rests!!!

Carlos Ponce

What did Rick Perry actually say?

"Barack Obama didn't get to be the president of the United States without being ordained by God. Neither did Donald Trump." Perry told Trump "You didn't get here without God's blessing."

What does scripture say? "Blessed be the name of God from eternity past to eternity future! For wisdom and power are His alone; He brings the changes of seasons and times; He installs and deposes kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those with discernment." Daniel 2:20-21

"Everyone is to obey the governing authorities. For there is no authority that is not from God, and the existing authorities have been placed where they are by God. " Romans 13:1

Carlos Ponce

To accept the premise of this guest column, "Christians must reject the notion of Trump the Chosen" is to reject the Bible and its teachings."For there is no authority that is not from God". Daniels, if you own a Bible, read it, learn it, don't post Democrat Party rhetoric and try to pass it off as Christian.

Gary Scoggin

Rev. Daniels, especially don't pass off those Beatitudes as Christian. We don't want any peacemaking, meekness or other bad things happening around here.

Carlos Ponce

Gary Scoggin posts, "We don't want any peacemaking, meekness or other bad things happening around here." We all want that. Haven't you heard Trump wants to reconsider our military presence in other countries. Why should our men and women die to help out those who will not help themselves and who hate Americans. In the past it was done to protect our oil supply. But now thanks to fracking, we got plenty.

ISRAEL JACK SR.

Rev. Israel J Jack Sr.

Good morning to everyone, God love you and He sent His only Son to die on the cross for everyone SINS. If you believe in your heart what JESUS did on the cross you are sons and daughters of GOD. I believe GOD sent Martin Luthra King to do what did to bring equal right to all racist of people. God sent President Trump to keep this NATION from GEN. 19: A REAL CHRISTIAN should not vote Demarcate because of their PLATFORM. President Trump is doing what GOD WANTS done in this NATION. The young girl that he rebuke about CLIMATE CHANGE was put up to do that BY the Democrats. GOD don't need no help to CONTROL the WORLD HE CREATED. The children's in the school in California, the teachers were telling them to say we hate President Trump was Democrats. This Impeachment by the Democrats is of SATAN because of what President Trump is doing. He is doing what no other President has attempted to DO. I LOVE YOU, HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR and I wish the BLESSINGS of GOD UPON YOU.

Ray Taft

Democrats are forever asking people to join in projects. Democrats never seem to be able to get things done for the American people. They are always ‘working on it.’

Hateful Democrats have a problem with getting things done because politics, prejudice and who’s in power get in their way. And coupled with their Trump Derangement Syndrome it makes them feel impotent and mad as hell.

President Trump fulfills his promises to the American people, and he gets things done for the American people to the great dismay of the naysayers and do-nothing Democrats. And that honors God.

Pray for President Trump’s re-election in order to Keep America Great. Then work to make it happen. Never mind the do-nothing Democrats’ pious claptrap.

Michael Byrd

Not sure where Mr. Daniels received his theological education but he may want to get his money back. God places EVERY ruler in place, not just the ones who agree with our political ideology.

13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. Romans 13:1-2.

Bailey Jones

"God is on our side" - when even the flag can't cover up your sins.

Carlos Ponce

No one is saying "God is on our side". It is better to be on God's side.

Gary Scoggin

I find it remarkable that you have unique clarity about which side God is on.

Bailey Jones

God has clearly chosen Trump, Gary. Trump's side is God's side. Trump's allies are God's allies. Trump's enemies are God's enemies. Trump's battles are God's battles. Trump's victories are God's victories. A vote for Trump is a vote for God. Just ask him (Trump, not God) or any of his followers (Trump's, not God's).

Carlos Ponce

Gary Scoggin posted, "I find it remarkable that you have unique clarity about which side God is on." I did not post anything like that. Au contraire mon ami, I posted it is best to be on GOD'S side.

Carlos Ponce

Bailey, God has clearly chosen Trump, Obama, GW Bush, Bill Clinton, GHW Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, Dwight Eisenhower, and so on. Each for a specific reason. Despite opposition from advisors, Harry Truman chose to recognize Israel. That choice was evident. Those of us who make it to Heaven will know WHY each was chosen. Until then just be content with what scripture says. Sounds like detractors are second guessing God.

Bailey Jones

God doesn't create world leaders, Carlos. Or earthquakes, or hurricanes, or plagues, or famines, or wars, or Superbowl victories, or the preachers, pundits and puppets who claim otherwise.

Miceal O'Laochdha

Simple math: God has chosen Carlos. Carlos has chosen Trump. If A = B and B = C, then A = C. Feel the bern...

Carlos Ponce

"God doesn't create world leaders, Carlos." I don't know what you worship, but it is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his presence on Earth we called Jesus (Yeshua). The true God created everything.I surmise you have created a "god" that suits your needs - not the One in the Bible.

Word of Knowledge

"In April 1998, I had an unusual spiritual experience in the early hours of the morning. As I was coming out a deep sleep, I was aware I was lying in bed beside my wife. Suddenly I heard a voice say, 'It is My will for the Governor of Texas to be the next President of the United States.' I leaped out of the bed and awoke my wife saying, 'You won't believe what just happened! I just heard a voice speaking to me.' I repeated the words to her and she smiled, said a few words, and went back to sleep. I dressed and went into my office to tell my office manager about the incident. We checked the Internet to confirm that George W. Bush was the Governor of Texas. I told my office manager, 'This is the man who is supposed to be the next president.' I felt odd talking about the incident since no one, not even Governor Bush, had announced his run for the presidency. While I said nothing publicly, I confided only in a few close friends and family members. I experienced the same inner inspiration that I had when the word came to me in 1992 concerning the spirit that would come upon the nation. An unexpected event in Israel seven months later confirmed to me that the word from God was accurate.

In November of 1998, I hosted a group of Americans on a tour of the Holy Land. The group of 150 had just toured the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. My video crew, along with the God's News Behind the News crew, was leaving the Temple platform when my office manager noticed five men dressed in suits coming to the Western Wall for prayer. He said to me 'That looks like George Bush, the Texas Governor!' It was indeed the Governor, along with four other men.

My office manager and I rushed toward the Western Wall where Bush had concluded a brief visit and was leaving. I walked up to him and introduced myself. He said, 'You're the fellow who has the tour group.' I replied that I had 150 Americans with me. The Governor asked, 'Where are you from?' I said 'Tennessee.' I mentioned again that I was leading the tour group and said to Mr. Bush, 'They want you to run for president!' He laughed said, 'All right.' I said, 'I just want to encourage you. God bless you.' Moments later, my group greeted him, shook his hand, and took pictures.

On that day, November 29, 1998, I knew that I had met the future 43rd President of the United States. Governor Bush had made no announcement that he was running. He had just been re-elected for a second term as Governor of Texas. On March 2, 1999, he appointed a committee to research the feasibility of a successful presidential bid.

On April 15, 1999, Governor Bush announced his plan to seek the Republican nomination. I was always curious as to when Bush actually decided to run. Prior to our meeting in Israel in November of 1998, I recall no one saying that he would run. During an interview in September of 2000, Oprah Winfrey asked Governor Bush when he decided to run. He said that it was in December of 1998, which would have been shortly after his three-day trip to Israel. I later read Bush's testimony on the Internet, and I also read his book. He mentioned his three-day tour to Israel in 1998 and how he was touched by his journey. He also mentioned being in Jerusalem praying at the Western Wall, and the men who were with him. At the conclusion of his biography, he wrote about one of his friends telling him how the Jews and Gentiles are coming together. When I read this I thought that it was very unusual, since this is what the Holy Spirit had been showing me. According to his personal testimony, Bush recalled a message a pastor preached in December of 1999, after which his mother, Barbara Bush, said, 'He is talking to you.' This was a strong confirmation to him that he should run for the presidency.

I do not believe that our meeting had any bearing on his choice to run for president. But I do believe that the meeting was for my benefit in order to confirm that I had heard from the Lord." Perry Stone

Bailey Jones

Carlos, God chose for me to have a mind capable of exercising free will. Maybe he chose otherwise for you. But the good news is, since God is choosing the winner in 2020, you don't need to vote.

Carlos Ponce

Monday November 7, 2016

I sat in Abundant Life Church on Delaney in La Marque, Texas to listen to a guest preacher, a television evangelist from Tennessee named Perry Stone. He has a television program called "Manna-Fest". I like the way his show is structured based on scripture, a study of the Israel and the Jewish people, etc. He is the grandson of Catholics but is a Protestant Evangelist with a large Catholic viewership in the Northeast.

The day before the 2016 Presidential Elections all the polls, the news pundits and talking heads said Hillary would win. Perry Stone announced to the group gathered in La Marque he knew who would be elected based on a prophetic word of knowledge but was restricted from revealing it to us but he would drop hints and those hints pointed to the election of Donald J. Trump.

Tuesday November 8, 2016 I went to do volunteer work at the museum which also happened to be a polling place. I had voted early at County West so had time to direct visitors to the polling room, restrooms and showed off what we had in the museum after they voted. People I knew asked whom they should vote for. "Sorry, I cannot. You make the decision. Electioneering is illegal in the building on Election Day." But many whom I knew told me of their vote for Trump upon leaving the building. I nodded and said, "okay."

Carlos Ponce

Bailey posts, "But the good news is, since God is choosing the winner in 2020, you don't need to vote." I suggest you do the same.

Bailey Jones

Perry Stone??? Thanks for that, Carlos. Finally, after all our exchanges, I understand where you are coming from.

Maris Helfrich

Sharing my "comment" to thank Rev. Daniels for contributing his opinion to the ridiculous stances taken by Rick Perry , Rep. Loudermilk and others who propose that Donald Trump is an "instrument, a chosen one" of God! Your points are well taken, Rev. Daniels ,about the fact that Trump's policies are antithetical and in opposition to Gospel values and principles, i.e., his "documented and verified 14,000 lies", "denying millions health care", "denying thousands of people access to food and nourishment", "attacking a 16 year old because of her advocacy for climate change", etc.etc. I too, am "pro-life" and agree with one of the comments above, that to be "pro-life" is to be as passionate about LIFE for all people, the elderly, the migrants, the poor, sick, hungry and disenfranchised, the death penalty, victims of violence and injustice, etc. The anti-abortion issue should not be "primordial" above that of concern for LIFE at every stage. Pope Francis has expressed this position for Catholics.

I am NOT "sitting idly by as all that we love and believe is mischaracterized in this immoral fashion" by one whose election was won by the verifiable (i.e., the Mueller Report) support of Russia , and with less than 50,000 votes in the Battleground states, in contrast to the millions of popular votes won by Hillary Clinton. Yes, the outcome would have been different without Putin and his cohorts. We must be vigilant to make sure that a President worthy of the office gets elected in 2020....not a charlatan!

Carlos Ponce

"ridiculous stances taken by Rick Perry" So what did Rick Perry actually say?

"Barack Obama didn't get to be the president of the United States without being ordained by God. Neither did Donald Trump." Perry told Trump "You didn't get here without God's blessing."

Maris must think Barack Obama wasn't also "chosen" by God.

And he states "whose election was won by the verifiable (i.e., the Mueller Report) support of Russia". Doubtful Maris EVEN READ the Mueller Report since it CLEARLY states there was NO COLLUSION between Team Trump and the Russians. "the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities." Page 2 of the Mueller Report

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/read-text-full-mueller-report-n994551

And Robert Mueller stated in Congressional testimony that Russians did try to help Trump AND Hillary Clinton. I bet you didn't bother to see that hearing also. Well here it is:

CONGRESSMAN JIM HIMES (D-CT): Director, who did the Russian social media campaign ultimately intend to benefit, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?

MUELLER: Donald Trump.

HIMES: The second operation, Director -

MUELLER:Let me just say Donald Trump, but there were instances where Hillary Clinton was subject to much the same behavior.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/full-transcript-robert-mueller-house-committee-testimony-n1033216

Maris Helfrich just parrots the Leftist propaganda and talking points ignoring the verifiable truth.

Paula Flinn

I agree with Maris Helfrich & Rev. Daniels.

Carlos Ponce

Of course you do, Paula. Their writings are without merit but follow the Left wing false narratives put out by the Democrat Party and their toadies, the Left wing media. But as election day 2020 draws closer, we'll be seeing more of these because Democrats realize they do not have a candidate that can beat Donald Trump. If you thought the 2016 campaign run by Democrats was mean and nasty, the 2020 campaign will be even worse. Democrats can't run on their true platform so they'll attack with lie after lie. Women will come out alleging sexual misdeeds against Trump and his appointees like Justice Bret Kavanaugh, all unsubstantiated of course, but that's how low Democrats will go. And of course, Trump and company will fight back against false allegations with Democrats crying, "HOW DARE HE!" Democrats are bullies. Ralphy Parker had his day but after hitting Scott Farkus, the bullying stopped. Democrat bullies will never stop. They know their ideas are losing favor with the American people. The tactic of the DNC in 2020 will be lie after lie and hope some of it sticks.

He is only Mr. Daniels, there is nothing reverend about someone who supports those who support the genocide of the unborn and sometimes even some that are born. What is more mystifying If I remember correctly is that 78% of the children aborted are of his own race.

Charles Douglas

Well Helfrich, you and Your BUDS better step on it because all yall have now for Trump to BEATDOWN, is a bunch of lunatics and illequipped liars, who wants a GLOBAL nation and matching economy to go with it here. They want to shutdown fossil fuel jobs, and give everything free to everybody! I thought the worst one was BETO O'ROURKE,and out of the race, ..but I was wrong, ...I think he was the smartest one of them! If one of the present Democrats was to get in office it is curtains for many nations, around the world, because China and Russia will go ape #$& crazy! Democrats are good at fighting conservatives here in America, but not enemies of this nation. Look how Clinton , gave the store away to North Korea, and other nation in stupid deals of different kinds. Obama, was in office when Putin TOOK Crimea from the Ukraine. Wasn't it Obama and Hands Biden who filled the sky full of C130 AIRCRAFTS full to the brim with hundreds of billions of dollars on pallets, and flew them into IRAN by night because of fear? Now you got every Democratic clown in DC running around talking about Trump withheld aid for two weeks or so In a Quid Pro Quo situation! Really? When Obama was so afraid of Russia, all he would send the Ukraine to fight with was blankets and C-Rations! Did not hear a PEEP from the LEFT, either! Oh I'm sorry, C-Rations was striken from our speech here like many other words. It is now Meals-Ready-To-Eat! ( MSRs). Also we have the LEFT now using kids to do their dirty work! In schools, in colleges, and on little boats sailing from around the world to hurl insults at our President! Check this, the two biggest threats to climate change dealing with emissions, and polluting is China and India, but that little GIRL, bypassed both of those countries to come here to regurgitate, her LEFTIST talking points! Wonder why? China has Chinese pregnant women being smuggled into America every week, to have babies, and register them as Americans because of the LEFT refusing to close the loopholes allowing it to happen. The kids go back to china for a later mission to be determined. Wonder what The Left and China are up to?

Blanca Bell

Well said Rev. Daniels.

Charles Douglas

Mr.Ponce! I believe you about the Perry Stone Prophecy! I was in a service before this Hoax against Candidate Trump became known to the public back in 2016, before the election took place and this minister stood in the front just after Praise and Worship was over and proceeded to speak out a Prophecy. In that prophecy he mentioned everything that is happening and that has happened! He also told us what God wanted his people to do about it. Anyway you are right on target! I would not have mentioned this if you had not mentioned Perry Stone's message. I did so to help your faith, because you by proclaiming your experience, has certainly helped mine to grow! You can't make some people believe anything! They much rather believe newspapers and CNN fake news than a Prophecy from God! I'm still waiting on them to GET Trump out of office. L ololo. It is good to be able to see what others can't.

Here's hoping ( not wishing ) ...for a happy, great New Year of nothing but Joy, Divine Health, Peace, Safety, and Prosperity to all of the participants on this forum, in your homes, and for your families! Remember GOD loves you and yours, and so do by faith, even if I have to defeat the fool in me who will try to stop me from it!

Same to you my friend.

Some want to make abortions illegal. For the one's that want to make it against the law, what punishment do you want?

Death penalty for the man and the woman that are having the abortions. It take two, so each should face the penalty. Would you include the Grandparents if they knew their kids were going to have a abortion? If not a eye for a eye, how long should they be sentence to prison? Again, all should be serving this together.

After abortions are made illegal, what should be the penalty for a homemade abortion such as a coat hanger or drinking poison to cause a abortion. This is what happen in the past, and would happen again.

Jim Forsythe

When you say you are against abortion, are you saying all abortions or is there a case that you agree that abortions would be the right choice. Just because one is a Demarcate or Republican does not mean that they only have the choice driven by a party!

By far the biggest differences in these views are political, with over two-thirds (67%) of Republicans calling themselves pro-life and about as many Democrats (67%) identifying as pro-choice. Independents fall squarely in the middle.

Even churches do not agree on abortion. Some try and demand that there beliefs are the only way when that is not the case.

As each induvial has a right to decides how they believe , so does each church and what the teach to the members.

The United Church of Christ (UCC) has strongly supported the legalization of abortion since 1971. The UCC supported FOCA and strongly opposed the PBA ban to the point of joining the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARRAL) in a statement affirming President Clintons veto of the PBA Ban Act in 1996. The UCC has also called for the church to support abortion in any national health care bill.

American Baptist Churches leaves abortion policy to local churches and individuals. A resolution adopted in 1988, updated in 1994 and accepted as current policy, "acknowledges diversity of ... convictions within our fellowship," making no distinction between those who believe that human life begins at conception (with the consequence that abortion is immoral), and those who believe it can be morally acceptable based on "compassion and justice." This relativism gives no protection to the unborn child, and little guidance to women and men who must live with the consequences of their choice.

The United Methodist Church began in the early 1970s to view abortion as a "choice". The United Methodist position in favor of abortion has been so strong that two of its institutions helped organize and affiliate with the Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights. For many years RCAR used office space in the United Methodist Building which is located across the street from the U.S. Supreme Court. In both 1996 and 1997 the United Methodist Church publicly supported President Clintons veto of the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act. While the 1996 United Methodist Church's Book of Discipline still maintains a strong pro-abortion position, it now includes wording recognizing the "sanctity of unborn human life." It further states, "We cannot affirm abortion as an acceptable means of birth control and we unconditionally reject it as a means of gender selection."

Check the main reasons why women seek abortions. Inconvenient time is more prevalent than health of the woman by a long shot. I don't care for Federal funding of abortion. There are pro-abortion lobbyists spending on their political friends, Democrats. How about THEM paying for it, NOT ME!

Pro-Choice groups spent $757,096 lobbying in 2019.

https://www.opensecrets.org/federal-lobbying/industries/summary?cycle=2019&id=Q15

Look for an increase during 2020. In the last presidential election cycle 2016 that was $1,974,950.

For the ones that are against abortions , what penalties should the woman and the man face if they have a abortion?

As with most decisions in life, there are more than one factor in making it.

Women gave on a average of 3,7 reasons they have a abortion. Some of these reasons may be influenced by: Pressure from the father or from her parents to have an abortion. She may fear physical abuse from a parent if they learn of her pregnancy.

Below is some of the reasons

Many are poor and feel that they cannot afford to raise a child.

One of the factors that some of the women had in common was that 60% were below 200% of the federal poverty line, including 30% who were living in poverty. 21% feel that they do not have the financial resources to bring up a child.

Age: Most abortions are done on women under the age of 25.

Marital status: Most women seeking abortions are unmarried; many other are separated from their spouse.

21% feel that they are not ready for the responsibility of raising a child.

16% feel that their life would be changed too much. She might have a plan for her future (education, developing a career, etc.) that does not allow for having a child at the present time. She might be looking after an elderly parent and does not have sufficient time or energy to commit to a baby.

12% feel that her relationship with her partner is in difficulty.

11% feel that they are too young, and not sufficiently mature to become a mother.

In 8% of the cases, her children are grown and she does not want to start another family, or she has all the children that she wants.

She feels that she lacks the emotional and physical strength to go through another pregnancy and raise the child.

She believes that raising an additional child would short-change her existing children.

She is a student and/or without a partner; she feels that raising a child would be too difficult and disruptive at her time in life.

She doesn't want other people to know that she became pregnant.

A child would interfere with her career or education.

If you take away Federal funding to Planned Parenthood, the desire for abortion will diminish.

Jim Forsythe

If abortion is made illegal like you want, what penalty do you want to be put in place?

Planned Parenthood drops federal funding over abortion-referral restriction--- Mon August 19, 2019

Planned Parenthood charges $500-$559 for a abortion.

Carlos Ponce

"Planned Parenthood drops federal funding over abortion-referral restriction--- Mon August 19, 2019" Oh, that's why The House included funding for Planned Parenthood in the Omnibus Bill for Fiscal year 2020.

"Dec 18, 2019-The omnibus bill also continues to fund Planned Parenthood, the corporation responsible for over 30% of abortions in the U.S."

Jim Forsythe

Carlos, if you do not include punishment, abortions will continue.

Carlos, you want to make abortions illegal. What punishment do you want for anyone that has a abortion? If you want to make it illegal, a punishment is required to make it happen!

Would you impose the death penalty, for the woman and man? Life in prison?

Carlos, would you included the man in receiving punishment, or just the woman? Would you allow birth control, the morning after pill? What about the eggs that are used in implanting, if they are discarded and not implanted should the woman, man, and the facility face punishment?

Would you have a punishment for a abortion done by a women at home or in the back alley?

Being against abortion requires a answer to these and other questions. What are your answers Carlos?

Approximately 120,000 children are adopted each year in the United States. If abortions are made illegal, who is going to adopt the babies?

Children are now not being adopted now because a lack of families.

"And according to reports from the Children’s Bureau, the number of children waiting for adoption has increased by nearly 17,000 since 2012.When asking if there is a shortage of adoptive families in the United States, the answer is yes."

I did not see that funding had passed. Surprised that it did, because Republican's could have blocked it.

"President Donald Trump campaigned on a platform that included defunding Planned Parenthood, among other pro-life agenda items. Since taking office, however, efforts to defund the nation's leading abortion provider have not succeeded."

Carlos Ponce

Jim, insists on punishment while I insist on changing people's hearts.

Jim Forsythe

I do not insist on punishment as none is needed, but you want change, just asking people is not going to change their minds or hearts.

If what you say is true, then all we need to do is talk to people and we will have no murder, rape and other crimes.

If I read you right, you want no abortions and no punishment. Just another case of wanting not to be responsible for the enforcement. It is just another Pollyanna plan, that is used to keep from being responsible for enforcement.

No enforcement equals no change, as abortions have happened since around 1550 BC. You think people are going to change from wanting a abortion to not, because of what. If you want no abortions, enforcement goes with it. If people are going to have a change of heart, they would already have done so.

If you are one that thinks that abortion is murder, then the punishment has to equal the crime.

" Donald Trump said that there “has to be some form of punishment” for abortion if it were banned in the U.S. — as he says it should be — and that punishment should fall on the woman. "

Some do not want to make the man equal, in the responsibility of Pregnancy.

Carlos Ponce

"but you want change, just asking people is not going to change their minds or hearts." With the technology to see the baby in the womb, hears are being changed.

Jim Forsythe

That's your plan, showing a 4D ultrasound to someone or couple that wants a abortion, and that will change a woman's and a mans minds. At 4 weeks, a ultrasound may only show a small circle at the center, which is called as a gestational sac. At this stage, it is not possible to see much more than the gestational sac, and the sac is not identifiable until you are 4 ½ weeks pregnant.

New techniques have blurred the line between contraception and abortion, a growing number of abortion clinics nationwide are offering abortions to women as early as 8 or 10 days after conception, before they have missed a menstrual period. A ultrasound at 4 weeks or less would be useless when showed to someone that is not in the medical field. If the woman wants, she can take the morning after pill.

With your plan, very little will change, and abortions will still happen. Remember when abortions were illegal and women still had them. Some by Doctors after hours and some at home. Showing a ultrasound to a women and the man that wants a abortion, is not going to change the outcome.

Carlos Ponce

Even with that, some Hearts are changed.[innocent]

Jim Forsythe

The below study was done before abortions were being done before 4 weeks. If a woman and a man are forced to watch a ultrasound at four and a half weeks, they will see nothing but a gestational sac, and unless they are trained to see it they will not know what it is. The sac is not identifiable until you are 4 ½ weeks pregnant

"Looking at the ultrasound does not cause a crisis of conscience for women seeking abortion. Of the group that didn’t look, 99 percent went ahead and terminated. But of the group that did look, 98.4 percent terminated. The difference between the groups was less than a percentage point, totaling about 17 women out of over 15,000. More importantly, the women who changed their minds came strictly from the group of women who were unsure about their abortions going in. Women who were highly certain they wanted an abortion were not swayed at all by the ultrasound."

Carlos Ponce

It it saves one life - it's worth it. But more than one life has been saved. "Focus on the Family claims that since its ultrasound program began in 2004, 'the estimated number of babies saved' is more than 201,000." And "ICU Mobile, based in Akron, Ohio, makes a claim similar to Campos-Duffy’s, saying on its website that '86.9 percent of women considering an abortion who see their baby aboard an ICU Mobile choose life.' " "The mobile units provided ultrasound images to 1,389 women; 613 were 'abortion minded or abortion vulnerable'; and 533 of them, or 86.9 percent, 'made a decision for life'."

Choose LIFE!

Carlos Ponce

The study Jim cites comes from just one abortion provider - Planned Parenthood Los Angeles for the calendar year 2011. And there were questions about the quality of the ultrasound image the women were shown, probably due to the age of the equipment. Include the not so subtle hints from the person actually doing the ultrasound - a person who works for PLANNED PARENTHOOD! Hardly an unbiased "study".

Jim Forsythe

By using your number of 30% of the abortions are performed by Planned Parenthood in the USA in 2018,the total of abortions was 1,109,190 in the USA. Planned Parenthood charges $500-$559 for a abortion, which means that cost is not a factor. With abortions being preformed as early as 8 or 10 days after conception, ultrasound is not a factor.

"Last year was a record year for Planned Parenthood in terms of the number of abortions the organization performed.Planned Parenthood released its latest annual report for the 2017-2018 fiscal year over the weekend. The report reveals that the organization performed more abortions in 2018 than in any year since 2011. That's 332,757 abortions in 2018 alone. "

If you want abortions to decrease in a large scale, penalties are required. If you believe abortions are murder, than treat it as such, and demand the penalty that the crime of murder receives.

Carlos Ponce

"which means that cost is not a factor" THEN WHY FUND THEM!!!!!!!

Carlos Ponce

"penalties are required" Not necessarily.

Jim Forsythe

Why fund them, because they do more than abortions. If you are really against abortions, why would you not be for penalties .

Do you think abortions are murder? If you answer is yes, then why are you against a penalty?

Are the man and woman equal in guilt, as far as you are concerned about abortion?

Carlos Ponce

"Why fund them, because they do more than abortions." Not as much as propaganda leads you to believe.

Carlos Ponce

Jim wants punishment.

Jim Forsythe

Planned Parenthood educates the community in sexual health, while providing reproductive health services, general health services, screenings and counseling for women and men. They also help men and women to identify and treat sexually transmitted infections. Another large service they provide is helping pregnant women in finding doctors to help them carry their babies to term and helping women who want to put their babies up for adoption find the services they need to do so. If an abortion does occur in the clinic they offer counseling for afterwards if the women requests it, although abortions only account for 3% of the services provided!

Again , I do not want punishment as I agree that a Woman and the man has a right to have a abortion, if it is right for them.

You think that is wrong, but you have not answer these questions I asked you.

If you are really against abortions, why would you not be for penalties?.

Do you think abortions are murder? If you answer is yes, then why are you against a penalty?

Are the man and woman equal in guilt, as far as you are concerned about abortion?

If you believe all that propaganda you must be a Democrat.

"I do not want punishment" Interesting since JIM is the only person bringing it up in these forums.

Charles Douglas

Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, CAP'EM TRUMP!!!!! No Sir! It does not pay to get cross-ways with Captain D.J. TRUMP!!!! Not ahh -tall.

Jim Forsythe

If all Planed Parenthood did was abortions,2.7 million abortions would have happened in 2013. Of course that's not true as most people go to Planed Parenthood to received other services. Approximately 250,000 of the 2.7 million people who visited Planned Parenthood centers for health services are men. And it’s not just about STDs. Men can visit Planned Parenthood clinics for routine physical exams; prostate, colon and testicular cancer screenings; infertility screenings; treatment for erectile dysfunction; and vasectomies. Education is available regarding male birth control and lowering the risk of sexually transmitted diseases.

Other services available, about 1 million cancer related service which also includes annually 1 million pregnancy tests and prenatal services, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections; sex education, birth control and long-acting reversible contraception; emergency contraception; clinical breast examinations; cervical cancer screening. Also 4.5 million sexually transmitted infection services .

You have dodged the question about why you think abortion is murder, but you do not want to give punishment.

You think that abortions are wrong, but you have not answer these questions I asked you.

If you are really against abortions, why would you not be for penalties?.

Do you think abortions are murder? If you answer is yes, then why are you against a penalty?

Word on the streets is that Iran got to feeling their oats when they hooked up with China and Russia for a few drills! So then they thought CAP'EM would bow his head and let them off the hook! There is a new MARSHALL in DC, and his name is CAP'EM TRUMP!!! Finally, let me send a out a warning, "Don't CROSS ANY RED-LINES IN THE DIRT drawn by CAP'EM D.J. TRUMP! !!!!!
