We should all strive to be more like the Rev. Ray Pinard.

Pinard, 82, in June stepped down from his role as executive director of Galveston Island Meals on Wheels, a nonprofit that delivers food to about 200 people a day.

More than big shoes to fill Lauren! But you come with heart and soul big enough and strong enough to carry on this essential work. Thanks to Ray for the many ways he has touched lives, through and beyond Meals On Wheels. Thank you Lauren for continuing this legacy of service and compassion. And special thanks to the devoted leadership and volunteers who are the hands and feet of Jesus through Meals On Wheels. Angels one and all!
