Armed Forces Day is the day set aside in the United States to celebrate all active duty service members in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy and even the newly created Space Force.

The national day of observance of Armed Forces Day began through efforts of President Harry S. Truman 70 years ago and always is observed on the third Saturday in May. It is not to be confused with Veterans Day in November or Memorial Day, which is celebrated later this month.

Thank you for the public service announcement Angela. We certainly don’t serve for the public accolades, but they are always appreciated.
