[thumbup] "Show us the contracts." And show us the rationale for the choice.
I agree wholeheartedly with Bailey. Something
Smells fishy about terminating the contract after two weeks & paying 2 million. Board members needs to be terminated in my opinion.
It all starts with the election of the Board of Trustees. When the community pays little attention to school district elections, former administrators, former educators and local education sympathizers are loaded on the Board with teachers making up a substantial percentage of the votes cast. You will also notice that many school district trustee and bond elections are placed on off-year and May ballots to ensure minimal voter turnout . . . other than teachers who are internally encouraged to vote.
Good points Allen. We as voters have some control at the ballot box.
The current Superintendent's Contract is posted on the GISD website. Assuming a contract is negotiated with Dr. Gibson, that contract will be posted as well.
