Americans have a heart for helping, and that heart beats strong here in Texas and in Galveston County.

One of the unfortunate things about living along the Gulf is that Mother Nature provides us with ample opportunity to help. Every year she pummels us or our neighbors in Louisiana with devastating hurricanes that leave thousands of people without power, without food and water, without other bare necessities, without homes.
