Golf Carts, e-bikes, motorized skateboards and bikes have no place on any street that has a speed limit of over 20 mph. It's dangerous and the city should take action fast.

Hmm, 71% of respondents to the GDN poll say get golf carts off the seawall and we need "revolutionary thinking"? Well yes Mike you're right, revolutionary thinking would be doing what the city council needs to do and listen to 71% of the respondents to your question. Galveston city council will do nothing to solve this golf cart problem.

Passing an ordinance doesn't necessarily solve a problem. It creates an enforcement onus that may or may not solve a problem. There are ordinances against litter, for example, not to mention operating golf along 61st Street, parking across sidewalks and keeping roosters on the East End. How have those worked out?

Don Schlessinger

You're right Michael but an ordinance is a great place to start.
