Father's Day

Some holidays get floats and beads. Father's Day gets ties.

Father’s Day is the Rodney Dangerfield of holidays.

Thanksgiving gets a parade, Mardi Gras gets beads and the Fourth of July gets fireworks.

Our tradition, since my daughter was tiny, is Dollar Store chocolate covered cherries. They don't accumulate so you can never have too many.

Happy Fathers Day! to every man who has devoted himself to the raising of a child.

Thank you Mr. Jones! You took those words right out of my mouth! If fathers were not needed in a child's life, then God would not have ordained it to be so! It took me in some cases years to figure out that fathers are not as dumb as children think! In other cases, my father's words were transformed into instant revelations and verifications of his counsel, by experiences I encountered! I was blessed to have great parents who are no longer with me here, but each supplied me with tools of life which are everlasting and are woven into the fabric of who they molded me to be! So then I too wish a fantastic, and happy father's day to every father who did, or tried to do his job as a father! This....is your day. Stick your chests out, enjoy your family gatherings, enjoy your gifts, and feel good about yourselves![thumbup][thumbup]
