“You know, while I appreciate your words, people saying they are sending prayers is pretty much a throwaway line these days.”

I’m somewhere in a dream, it’s early morning, and this conversation is going on in my head.

Amen! This is true and beautifully written, Leonard!

Prayers bring about a change from a hopeless and impossible situation into a safe and peaceful reality.

The meaning of life is relationships – and prayer for another person is a way of leaning into that relationship.

I am very grateful to have wound up in a community with a newspaper that is not afraid to express sentiments such as these. It isn't evangelizing, isn't saying others are wrong if they do not share these feelings, just putting out there the heartfelt sense of trust in something beyond what our physical senses relay to us.

Could not agree with you more, Leonard. Thank you for saying it for us.
