I read it recently in one of the funny papers. Oh, sure, the funnies are a really good study of what’s going on in the world.

One person said to another how glad he was he had lived a long time, because he had gotten to see and enjoy so many things that younger people were missing. Or words to that effect.

"I tried it once, but I wasn’t very good." The joy of dance is in self-expression on the dance floor. Most are not Fred Astaires or Ginger Rogers or their modern equivalent. HAVE FUN! As a side benefit you get some exercise. And even if you dance like Elaine Benes, who cares as long as you are having fun.

When I was a kid I discovered my dad's Glenn Miller records. I loved them - I still do. But more than that I love living in an age where I can access basically any music ever recorded and carry it around on my phone. I find plenty to enjoy among the new generation of songwriters and musicians - not on the pop charts, but in the 1000s of bands making music that never makes a "top" list. I'm continually amazed that there are still combinations of notes and words that haven't yet been played.
