TEXAS CITY, TX — Elizabeth Mary McLane passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Galveston, Texas. Elizabeth “Liz” was born March 31, 1932 in Three Rivers, TX, to Charlie and Angeline Liska.
Liz was a stay at home mom to four children and later went to work for UTMB and Shriner’s Burns Hospital, where she later retired from. She was a long-time resident of Texas City and enjoyed taking pictures of family, feeding the birds in her backyard and spending time with her cats.
Liz is preceded in death by parents, daughter, Mary Ann (McLane) Hackett and son, Andrew Douglas McLane.
She is survived by sons, David McLane (Cindy) and John McLane; grandchildren, Ashley McLane, Sara Hackett-Anderson (Cory), Kathryn McKuzes, Joshua and Justin McLane (Katie); great-grandchildren, Melody and Robin McLane, Riley Mills, Luca Campbell, Antoni McKuzes and Roman Anderson; sisters Evelyn Papasan and Charlene Adams as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.
