Nannetta Cantrell Lewis, 68, of Texas City, Texas went to her eternal home on November 30, 2017 in Houston, Texas.

She was born April 21, 1949 to Amos Mansfield (Mance) Cantrell and Vicie Varney in Varney, West Virginia.

She is survived by and the beloved wife of Pastor James Lewis, they had recently celebrated their fourty-seventh wedding anniversary. Together, they have served The Texas City First Church of the Nazarene and the Texas City community for over 30 years. Nan has ministered as Children’s Church Director at a previous pastorate and Missionary President in Texas City. Nan was a Hair Dresser for at least 30 years and worked at Walmart as a Customer Service Representative for the last 15 years. She is survived and adored by her three daughters, Michelle Nusz and husband Alan, Heather Friend and husband Chris, and Lori Lewis. She is also survived by her grandchildren Justin Nusz and wife Mel, Natalie Polanco, Katie Nusz, Megan Friend, Haley Friend, John Friend, and Leila Friend. She is also survived by her first great-grandchild who will arrive mid-2018. Nannetta is preceded in death by her parents, along with brothers Delmon Cantrell and Harold Cantrell. She leaves behind her siblings, Lola (Lotti) Cantrell, Shelba Hatfield, Watson Cantrell, Johnny Cantrell and wife Della, Donald Cantrell and wife Georgia, Faye Cantrell, Linda Sims, Regina Smith and husband Troy, and Janet Varney and husband Danny. Nan is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E Broadway St, Pearland, Texas 77581 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. She will be honored on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Texas City First Church of the Nazarene, 2105 5th Ave N, Texas City, Texas 77590. She will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas following the service. Her family requests if you’d like to give other than flowers, to donate in her name to the Texas City First Church of the Nazarene.
