AUSTIN — Our beloved Eligha Curry, 71, quietly transitioned into eternal rest with our heavenly father on Friday October 1, 2021, in Austin, Texas.
Eligha was born on August 6, 1950, in Waldo Arkansas, to the late Ray Curry and T-Bertha Murray. He attended Galveston public schools and graduated from the historic Central High School in 1968.
Eligha enlisted into the United States Navy October 21,1969, serving our country with an honorable discharge. He retired as an Operations & Housekeeping Supervisor from (Brackenridge Hospital & City of Austin-Austin Convention Center).
Eligha leaves cherished memories with his family, extended family and friends.
There will be a visitation at 9AM, followed by a service celebrating his life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary, with Pastor Paul Belton officiating. This Great Celebration will be a Personal Signature Service under the Professional Guidance of Mr. Norris D. Burkley II at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary who will fulfill his final earthly celebration with great excellence.
