Anthony Maupin, 44, departed this life on October 1, 2017, at UTMB John Sealy Hospital.
Anthony was born July 29, 1973, was educated in the Galveston School District, and later graduated for O’Connell High School in 1992.
He was formerly employed as a longshoreman; and a line installer in Denver, CO. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboy fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Maupin Holloway; great-grandmother, Viola Benoit; and grandmother, Lillian Maupin.
Left to cherish his memory, his children, Meccah Coley, Lauren Maupin and Jorden Wall; his fiancée, Ana De Leon and their daughters, Aris and Gabriela Maupin; step-daughter, Kayla De Leon; grandchildren, Lillian Harris and Miracle Coley Bledsoe; father, Anthony Johnson; grandparents, John and Pearl Robinson; aunts, Gladys Arps, Loletha Thompson, Pearl (Victor) Henderson and Tracy Robinson; uncles, Andrew (Gladys) Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Larry (Sheila) Hart, Albert (Latrice) Hart, Jr., Clarence Hart, Willard Hart, Clifton (Felicia) Hart and John (Robbin) Hart; great-great aunts, Nabeehah Shakoor and Charletta Brown; his best friend, Chris Pleasant; a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on today, October 13th from 4-6:00 PM at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at West Point Baptist Church with Pastor Kerry W. Tillmon officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
