Cynthia Jeanine Mitchell

Cynthia Jeanine Mitchell, age 61, Went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her home in Galveston, TX.

She grew up in Hitchcock, TX where she graduated from High School and after attending COM where she went on to work for the City of Hitchcock. Also worked for the City of La Marque and the Galveston Housing Authority. Cynthia was last at GISD where she happily retired with many friends and colleagues.

Cynthia is survived by her husband Bob Mitchell and step-daughter Elizabeth Mitchell; grandchildren Angela Mitchell and Christopher Swain; great-grandchildren Ariyana Mitchell and Joshua Salazar Jr.; Her Sister Elizabeth Turner; and niece and nephew and great nieces.

Per her wishes to donate her body to science there will be a “Celebration of Life” held in her honor on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Oleander Room of the Red Roof Inn on Galveston Island.
