SANTA FE—Mr. Claude Jack Johnson passed from this life Saturday afternoon, November 4, 2017, in Webster.

Born December 3, 1942 in Cuero, TX, Mr. Johnson had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1968. Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at Amoco/BP retiring as an operator after 24 years. He was a member of Arcadia Christian Church where he worked as the church janitor for many years and was a member of the John Mitchell Masonic Lodge #1401 AF&AM and loved to gamble.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Claude and Julia (Kavaser) Johnson; son, Rodney Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Dean Swinheart; brother, Donald Johnson; baby sister, Daisy Mae Johnson; grandson, Anthony Marshal and niece, Mitzi Swineheart.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Astrid Johnson; daughter, Selina Marshall of Lufkin; grandchildren, Meranda Middleton, Marina Johnson, Donald Johnson, Kristopher Johnson; great grandchildren Devyn, Jr., Lexie, Jordyn, Camren, Crystal; nieces, Terry Hall (Greg), Kelly Johnson, Leslie Johnson; nephew, David Johnson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 201, at Arcadia Christian Church, with Pastor Jeff Spielman officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, (409) 925-3501.

John Mitchell Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Arcadia Christian Church.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Mr. Johnson’s name to the American Diabetes Foundation, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
