Constance Jean Mimms Marshall was born on October 27, 1942 to Josephine and James Mimms in Fayette County West Virginia.

Connie departed this earthly life on February 27, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by both parents, her son William P. Marshall, and her siblings William, Phyllis, and Eva.

She was raised in Longacre, West Virginia and was living in Charleston, South Carolina where she met the love of her life, George W. Marshall Jr. They were married in October of 1963. To this union one daughter, Leslie Marshall (born in West Virginia), and one son William P. Marshall (born in Japan) were born.

Connie was an adventurer and has lived in many places. She began her adventure in 1966, where she lived in Japan for three years; 1969 San Diego, California, 1975 New Orleans, then moved back to San Diego in 1977, on to Virginia in 1980 and lived there until 2007 and since 2007 she resided in San Antonio, Texas.

Memories of Connie will be cherished by her husband of 54 years, George W. Marshall Jr., daughter, Leslie Marshall, and siblings: Kathleen Edmonds, Eleanor Robinson (Hubert), Donna Scott, and Joyce Godfrey. Her brothers-in-law: Ben Marshall (Geraldine), Darnell Marshall, Sr. (Faye), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at Wynn Funeral Home, 602 32nd St., in Galveston. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.
