GALVESTON—Marguerite Elizabeth Foreman, age 71 of Galveston died, Monday November 13, 2017 at Oceanview Transitional Care Center in Texas City.

Marguerite was born February 5, 1946 in Houston, Texas to Allen Curry Gracey, Jr. and Dorothy Mae Kuhleman Gracey. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1964 and worked in Retail Clothing in Houston. In 1968 she married Sgt. Specialist 5th Class William Rogers “Bill” Foreman in Fort Polk, Tigerland, Louisiana, before he was deployed to Korea. After Bill’s tour of duty and returning to Galveston she returned to retail clothing at Craig’s Clothing Store, following them to Baybook Mall where she worked until its closing. She also attended Galveston College for several years majoring in computers. She was an excellent artist who was good in graphic art. She was a Lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Marguerite enjoyed being a wonderful homemaker after her retirement, throwing great parties and taking good care of Bill. She will be missed and loved forever.

No formal services are planned at this time. Local arrangements are under the directions of Carnes Brothers Funeral home.
