Always check with the funeral home first. Many funeral homes provide basic information and will write the full obituary for you as part of the services they provide.
Obituaries are a paid feature of the Galveston County Daily News. Cost is based on the length of the obituary. Once received, we will provide a proof and quote.
The deadline to submit an obituary is 12 noon for the following day's edition. They MUST be e-mailed in a ‘Word document’ format EXACTLY as you wish to have published. All photos must be in JPG format with a 300 DPI resolution.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
A memorial service and celebration of his life is to be conducted at four o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 7th of September, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. Suits and ties are not required, as Peter would have wished. A simple video of the service will be made for those who find it difficult to attend.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held later this year in Kendalia, Texas, where her ashes will be interred at the family cemetery.
