HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Carlos De La Cruz hit a run-scoring double in the second inning, leading the Lakewood BlueClaws to a 5-1 win over the Hagerstown Suns on Wednesday.

The double by De La Cruz scored Seth Lancaster to give the BlueClaws a 2-0 lead.

The Suns cut into the deficit in the third inning when Armond Upshaw hit an RBI double, bringing home Cole Daily.

The BlueClaws later added a run in the sixth and two in the ninth. In the sixth, Lancaster hit an RBI double, while Ben Pelletier and Jonathan Guzman hit RBI singles in the ninth.

Lancaster doubled twice, scoring two runs for Lakewood.

Lakewood southpaw Taylor Lehman (2-0) picked up the win after allowing one run on just three hits over five innings. Opposing starter Reid Schaller (2-3) took the tough loss in the South Atlantic League game after allowing two runs and four hits over five innings.
