BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) -- Dean Miller had four hits and scored two runs as the GCL Red Sox beat the GCL Pirates 6-3 on Wednesday.
GCL Red Sox took the lead in the first when it scored four runs, including a two-run triple by Oscar Rangel and an RBI single by Miller.
After GCL Red Sox added a run in the second on a single by Dominic D'Alessandro, the GCL Pirates cut into the deficit in the third inning when Sammy Siani scored on a wild pitch and Juan Pie scored on a home run.
The GCL Red Sox tacked on another run in the sixth when D'Alessandro hit an RBI single, driving in Miller.
Eddie Jimenez (2-0) got the win in relief while GCL Pirates starter Domingo Gonzalez (1-2) took the loss in the Gulf Coast League game.
GCL Red Sox improved to 4-2 against GCL Pirates this season.
