GALVESTON

Lee Bosquez, 46, died early Sunday morning when he fell out of a moving car, officials said.

Bosquez, from Pleasanton, south of San Antonio, was a passenger in the car that was traveling on Broadway near 77th Street about 2 a.m. Sunday, police spokesman Sgt. Derek Gaspard said.

Christine Hernandez, 37, was driving the car and was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon, Gaspard said. As of Monday afternoon, she was no longer in jail, according to county records.

Police believe some kind of domestic argument occurred between Hernandez and Bosquez but aren’t sure how Bosquez fell out of the car, Gaspard said. The event was still under investigation Monday, police said.

Bosquez was declared dead at the scene, Gaspard said.

Police also found a handgun in the car, he said.
