???? Was the gun legally owned and displayed? The School is probably a "gun free" zone but that doesn't include the area around the school. The person who called the police should have been arrested and required to learn Texas Gun laws.

Bailey Jones

Since when is "brandishing a firearm" legal behavior?

TEXAS PENAL CODE - TITLE 9. OFFENSES AGAINST PUBLIC ORDER AND DECENCY

CHAPTER 42. DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND RELATED OFFENSES - Disorderly conduct - (a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly (8) displays a firearm or other deadly weapon in a public place in a manner calculated to alarm.

Maybe you should be required to learn Texas Gun laws.

Bailey> Did the kid with the gun "Brandish" it? Or did some anti gun nut claim he did? The school was not involved until police overreacted. The kid was arrested for having a stolen gun, lazy reporter left that out.

The article says police seized a stolen gun. What about that is legal to you?
