A La Marque man was charged with multiple felonies after being arrested in connection to a convenience store robbery in Galveston.

Selwyn Sanderson, 26, was arrested about 9 p.m. Thursday evening, according to the Galveston Police Department.

Sanderson was one of a group of people who entered a store at the corner of 45th Street and Avenue S at about 11:45 p.m. Monday, according to police. The group brandished guns and took cash from the store before leaving, according to police. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police didn't reveal how they connected Sanderson with the robbery or say how many more people were being sought in connection to the robbery.

Sanderson was charged with aggravated robbery, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, according to police. He was held on a combined $600,000 bond, according to jail records.

He was sill in custody at the Galveston County Jail on Friday afternoon.
